As. Vegetarian had very limited options. Restaurants in hotels need reservations and are often not available. Hot bath is excellent. Garden at rear and walk to Buddhist temple and shrine is great.

Included breakfast selection is limited but quite good ... lineup and waiting period for unreservable breakfast was disappointing. Dinner dining times are too short ... but dinner choices are decent.

Fantastic place with some of the best staff I’ve ever seen at a hotel. The Spa is definitely worth going to to soak in the hot baths.

loved the place, so much history & really does everything to preserve that. We had he forest wing corner room, which was great. Superb breakfast. Wished we’d stayed longer.

Beautiful building, very lovingly maintained. The staff were friendly but not always able to speak English properly. The whole experience had an air of 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' film: both in terms of grandeur and comedy value. Gym was very poor for a 5 star hotel.

Très bel endroit, hôtel ayant une histoire narrée dans le petit musée lui étant consacré. Petit déjeuner excellent, avec des produits frais. Assiette bien présentée. Personnel disponible et souriant : seul bémol, ne parle pas beaucoup l'anglais, la communication est parfois difficile mais il fait le maximum pour répondre à nos attentes et nous renseigner. Bien situé (près de la gare pour aller à toutes les attractions des environs.

Awesome hotel! The whole hotel is so beautiful, and all of the staff was so friendly and helpful. We loved that there were restaurants and the onsen and spa on site so we were able to relax without even leaving the property if we wanted. Everything was clean and well maintained and all of the restaurants were delicious! I would definitely recommend staying here if you get the chance.

We had the loveliest Japanese style breakfast, the grounds are gorgeous, and the hotel is so majestic. We used the Ibsen and sauna as well. Awesome! We will definitely will come back.

If you're in Hakone stay here! There's no better hotel. This is by far one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. It is lovely!

部屋まで案内して下さったスタッフの女性が、外人の方でしたが、言葉がよく聞きとりにくかったです。

体調に考慮してコースメニューの内容を急遽変更していただけてありがたかったです。また今回の滞在では伝統のビーフカレーとアップルパイも食べられたので満足です。
