I will start with a positive! Staff friendly and accommodating. That is the only positive I have to say about this hotel. Rooms leave a lot to be desired, very run down and would benefit from a good clean. We moved rooms 3 times before we made the decision to stay - wish I had stuck with my gut and left straight away. Restaurant and bar area needs a good clean just as much as rooms. I can safely say I won’t be back and certainly would not recommend this place.

The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable but the blinds didn't work. The TV didn't seem to work either.

Easy check in and nice big room

The room appeared quite freshly refurbished. The bathroom had quite a lot of mould in and around shower. It needed a good scrub and it would have been fine. Staff were friendly and courteous. Bar staff worked hard at a very busy party.

11pm late check in staff left a key in a safe which was great but when we got to the room the door was actually ajar which is worrying when the rooms are accessed from outside and the car park is a car charging area with random people turning up all night. On the face of it clean and modern but very quickly you ca see the neglect. Bathroom very mouldy, broken internal window pane with sharp glass uncovered. The room was a first floor room accessed from a walkway to all the first floor rooms and yet the bathroom window is a velux window at head height without a blind or any coverage, so yes, people can genuinely see you in the shower. TV is turned on by one of 8 unmarked light switches in between the beds with no marking. Holes in the wall where fixtures used to be. Relatively low price point but not low enough that you’d expect this level of neglect. Positive that dogs are allowed but £15 charge despite all the flooring being laminate anyway so no extra cleaning required in my opinion. Also manky cigarette bin directly outside the door.

The room was spacious and clean, no odours. Staff were overall very courteous and pleasant. Parking was straightforward and access to room was on same level.

Room clean, restaurants clean, rooms need a little refurb as a little tired but beds very comfortable. Staff in all areas very helpful and friendly.

Basic room. Clean but missing key essentials. No power anywhere in reach of the beds. No curtain to cover a full length window by the door so at night people can see you in bed and in the morning you can’t escape the sunlight. Reception closes at 8pm with no way to contact anyone after this. No phone signal and no WiFi coverage in my room.

Nice quiet hotel although I arrived at 19.00 on a Friday night to gind that the kitchen was closed.

Arrived in the room and found the toilet had been bleached but the seat not washed. I am a little OCD to immediately went to local supermarket and purchased anti -bac and cloths, then cleaned the room surfaces to my standard. I have worked in the hotel industry and know that the cleaners only have a certain amount of time to clean in each room. But maybe they need a bit more time to do their job. Overall the hotel needs a bit of a refresh but we booked in the knowledge that it was a bit cheaper than others in the area, so we accepted the negatives. Staff were great which was the upside. I would stay again so don't be put off by my review folks, just making you aware.

Clean room. Staff could not have been kinder and lovelier and let us into our room early to get ready for a wedding. The room was practical with room for three, which helped our party. Only comment is that the rooms were tired and could do with a lick of paint and new grouting but did not spoil our stay at all and we’ll use again.

The room hadn't been cleaned at all, actually whole load of dust coming off the floor when we got cleaners to come in and clean the place.

Bathrooms could do with updating

Clean and comfortable room, also excellent restaurant & bar with helpful, friendly staff. Would highly recommend 👌

I didnt stay i checked in to see the room i went back to receprtion to see if they had a better room and no luck we stayed in the car all night and left for home in the morning we cut our break short and im trying to get my money back Best regards Simon gregory

Good mattress, good shower. It was a one-night stay, and everything was fine.

Staff are so friendly nothing is too much . Rooms are clean. Very quiet. Good food. This is 2nd stay and I will stay here again and recommend it.

Room was adequate, warm and bed was comfortable. Food was good in the bar and staff were friendly.

I stay at the Mountain Park Hotel often. The staff are wonderful and always make for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I enjoy eating in the restaurant. This last time i had the turkey pie. It was delicious 😋! Looking forward to my next visit.
