Quaint hotel with character in a prime location.

I love the rooftop deck. It’s close to everything, but right on the main drag, so it was not quiet.

Hotel Hirsch is an excellent hotel immediately outside the old town walls, less than a five minute walk to the nearby shops and restaurants in Fussen. Access to free parking on site. Hotel restaurant was excellent t for included breakfast. We enjoyed a very good dinner there too.

Really enjoyed

My daughter and I were immediately smitten by the external and internal decoration of the hotel before we even reached the reception. Check-in went quickly, we dropped off our luggage, and headed walked into town for dinner where there were we found a nice place to eat. (Visitors should be aware that restaurants and shops close relatively early compared to bigger German towns.) After dinner, we drove the short distance to the castles to see them lit up at night (go early...the lights were turned off at 2200 the evening we visited). After a peaceful night's sleep following four nights next to the Heidelberg train station, we got an early start back to castles so we could enjoy the Marienbrücke before the first bus crowd arrived. The rural area around Füssen begs for further exploration during a future trip. Local tip: We provisioned snacks and lunch for the day at the castles at the train station bakery since local bakeries and grocery stores did not open until later in the morning.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful town! Visit the castles and enjoy the town and countryside. Everything we were looking for in a hotel. Breakfast included and it was very nice.

This hotel is quaint and the service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced. It is old, and our room had a very strange smell. The rooms are large for Europe’s standards, and the first desk staff was beyond friendly. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Five star experience as far as customer service goes, but a three star hotel, IMO.

Soggiornato una notte a per la visita ai castelli. Hotel confortevole e comodo nel centro di Fussen. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Camera accogliente e pulita. Buona colazione e parcheggio riservato molto comodo. Consigliato.

Great stay - breakfast was amazing.

Ein wunderschön ausgestattetes gutbügerliches Hotel, nicht weit entfernt von der Altstadt, dem Forggensee und Schloss Neuschwanstein. Großzügige Zimmer (fast wie eine Wohnung). Sehr nettes Personal. Große Speisenauswahl, auch für Veganer interessant.

Vi hade en väldigt bra vistelse på hotellet. Personalen var väldigt trevlig och hotellet i sig kändes väldigt fräscht och fint.

Der Hirsch in Füssen ist eine Tradition- und zwar ganz zu Recht. Das Niveau der Gastlichkeit ist sehr hoch. Hilfsbereitschaft des Teams an der Rezeption ist wirklich gut. Ich habe das Restaurant sehr genossen. Das Küchenteam macht eine wirklich sehr gute handwerkliche Arbeit (Zwiebelrostbraten mit sehr guter Fleischqualität und hervorragenden Speckbohnen). Besonders ist mir aufgefallen Fräulein Natalie, die zur Mittagszeit freundlich und sehr kompetent mit ihrem freundlichen Kollegen am Tresen das Restaurant „bewegt“- obwohl sehr jung eine echte Gastgeberin. Mein Dank an das gesamte Hirsch-Team auch an alle die, welche nicht sichtbar sind (super Housekeeping Leistung) Ich komme gerne wieder. Danke
