Having to give my bank card details even though everything is already prepaid is very off putting and unwelcoming.
Was told it was in case we used the mini bar or damaged anything. I insisted that they removed everything which is charged from the room.
I never had my credit card so had to give my debit card details which I would never normally do.
Was told I could not check in if I did not comply.
The room had previous damage, cracked panes of glass in the window, both bedside lamps.
Nothing stopping them from charging me for the damage that was already there.
I am not comfortable with this at all.
We booked the superior room which was a 4 poster bedroom and the room was also sent to us in the confirmation email.
The room was not the same and there was no 4 poster bed.
2 people staying for 2 nights
Yet, 1 hot chocolate and 1 bottle of water, 1 pack of biscuits.
Surely it should be a minimum of 2 of each item.
The shower mouldy and the fittings are damaged. One has come off completely.
Clean room apart from the en-suite. Particularly the shower and very dusty radiator.
Very comfortable beds
Nice big room
Pleasant reception staff despite my frustrations. They dealt with me well and were fully understanding.
I would not stay here again due to them insisting on your bank details giving them the ability to charge you for things in the room.
