Great location, great service. Room needed a little TLC but only minor. Leaking tap, door hinge on cupboard hanging off. Room was very large but very warm. Fans provided which were perfect. Staff very friendly and food was excellent.

Our favorite hotel yet! Big rooms with lots of thoughtful extras! Great location, great food and lovely old pub!

Pub was in an excellent location to town centre. Breakfast was very good as were all pub meals. Staff were friendly & attentive.Excellent country pub.

We stayed for 2 nights the staff were fantastic, pleasant, cheerful!! Breakfast highly recommend the pancakes!! Amazing!! Actuality booking again for next year!!

Great staff small room

Friendly, comfortable , well-located ,quiet B&B above the pub. The breakfast was very smart and tasty! I wish they had a thinner duvet for hot summer.

Great location right in the centre of town. Really welcoming staff. Room was clean and comfortable but showing signs of wear and tear in the public areas and bathroom. Bev was comfortable and the breakfast top notch. Was a little noisy due the fire door in corridor slamming everytime anyone came through (it was not helped that we stayed on the morning when the beer delivery arrived and it is hard to deliver that quietly despite their best efforts). Otherwise a really good stay and excellent t value for money. Really cannot rate the staff highly enough

Mysigt rum ovanpå pubverksamhet. Ingen hiss och rätt så trånga trappor. Var beredd på att bo på ett ställe där stilen går före modernitet. Det är ett gammalt hus med rik historia och det är många små utrymmen och trappor och vinklar. För mjuk säng för min del, men helt ok. Engelsk frukost serveras vid bordet, ingen buffé. Ok urval.

Lovely room with great bed. Very comfortable. Had all amenities needed. Tea, coffee, water, biscuits, fans. Good also very good. Staff particularly helpful.

A warm welcome from Jemma and her team. Remarkably quiet rooms despite being above a family friendly pub and on the high street. The breakfast was one of, if not the, best I’ve been offered anywhere in a hotel in the UK or US in years. We loved staying here.

Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and tidy. Thankfully there was a large fan in the room, as the temperature was very hot re weather. Breakfast was ok I would have preferred a walk in show, as the bath was not easy to climb into as quite high.

This was a really lovely place to stay. The only bad thing I have to say is that there is no AC and it was very hot on the top floor. A portable fan would have helped.

3rd stay here, again for 3 nights. Friendly professional staff, lovely old building. Good outside space. Popular with all age groups Would fully recommend and will no doubt be going again sometime

The Manager was extremely helpful and caring so were all the other staff, food was very good for pub food, great location for a stop over, Hotel itself just needs a bit of redecoration but the original building is amazing.
