This property is dated and filthy. Some kids were having a party next to us. The elevator needs servicing, and overall, the hotel seemed unsafe.

Centrally located near lots of good eating options, rooms were immaculate and well appointed, staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was both delicious and abundant.

Very loud location.

The property was very nice and the staff was super friendly! I would recommend this hotel just based on the staff alone. The complimentary breakfast was also very good. The only problem we had was the tv in our room did not work. They did give us points for this, but should be something checked before anyone stays in a room. We would definitely stay at this hotel again, though.

Very friendly

The hotel was pretty clean, overall. The staff was friendly and kind. My only real complaint is that we called the location directly in advance to clarify that they did have an open indoor pool (we had a child in the hospital recovering from spinal fusion around the corner at UAB, and my husband was going to be responsible for entertaining our autistic daughter while I was sitting with our son) and when we arrived, the pool was closed for renovations! We spent 4 days there, paid extra for the nicer hotel - and our daughter didn't get to swim ONCE. On top of that, we had to extend due to our son not being discharged from the hospital and they told us that they had a hospital rate of $134 per night. What they didn't tell us was that after their 25% tax rate, it became $172. For a hotel that falsely advertised a pool, for an extra night. It would have been cheaper to book through hotels.com again! What a rip!

Hoel was clean and helpful staff.

Rod at the front desk was great! He was so welcoming. We felt like we’d been friends forever. All employees should be friendly, accommodating, and outgoing like Rod.

Hot and stuffy in the hallways

Nice hotel, conveniently located near more than 10 restaurants. We chose to stay here specifically for the indoor pool for our kids, but unfortunately, it was closed for maintenance during our visit. The kids were all in their bathing suits and excited to go swimming, only to be disappointed when we found out the pool was unavailable.

Needed a last minute hotel that was inexpensive but nice in the downtown Birmingham Area, and this was a perfect choice. Right in the heart of Birmingham! This hotel was Great for the Family and I. Only thing I did not like was the parking situation we had to park on the street however the meter stopped running at 8 PM that night to 8 AM in the morning. We got up early enough to not have to pay the meter but the little parking that they do have is first come first serve. There is a parking garage, but we were not sure if they validated parking. Overall, a great stay and if you do have to park on the street it is very inexpensive. I believe it’s like a dollar for one hour.

The young lady at the front was about to get off at 3 but my encounter with her was pleasant .The bathroom was not what I expected I did not like the tub I prefer walk in showers.The hallway lobby an elevators where extremely hot . A the parking garage was off limits so I had to take my wheel chair bond husband a search for street parking .

Everyone had a great attitude and were very nice!

Staff was friendly and helpful. I had several walkable optiona for dinner and easy freeway access for where I needed to go.

It was a okay place to stay

The staff was great! But the amenities list a bar/lounge and we spent more money and drove out of our way to stay there hoping to relax and have a drink. Disappointed to arrive and see a few run down seats in the entry they are calling a lounge. Very disappointing being as the hotel was not cheap! We could have stayed at a best western and saved money.

Only down side was the pool was out of order
