Upon arrival at the hotel. We were told we had booked one room through hotels.com despite all my email confirmation saying it was two rooms. After an extended discussion and you need to go find the reservations manager, we are finally giving the two rooms though they were not adjoining as previously requested. The hotel also claimed to be booked for the night despite it seeming empty everywhere in the common areas during our entire stay. Even the casino itself was relatively empty.

My recent stay at Mount Airy was a mix of highlights and disappointments. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable — definitely a strong point. I also appreciated the amenities; the pool was beautiful, the fitness center well-equipped, and the massage service was enjoyable, though unfortunately cut shorter than expected. Where the experience fell short was in the overall service. At the pool area, we waited over 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, and when we finally placed a food order, it arrived more than an hour later — and cold. While Manager Alicia did refund part of the bill and mentioned she’d send champagne or strawberries to the room, that promise was never fulfilled. On the other hand, Manager Grant was very thoughtful and provided a $50 food credit, which was a much-appreciated gesture. While there were definitely some enjoyable aspects of the trip, the inconsistent customer service unfortunately impacted the overall experience.

The property is beautiful and I wish you had a trail so guests could get a walk in and enjoy the property. Our room was clean and quiet. The shower was cold and it took 10-15 minutes for hot water. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I look forward to returning.

Getaway free from day to day issues

We arrived at 3:40 in the valet line. They called a bellhop to help us with our things,he was one person running around trying to help everyone. We waited on line to register, then after registering were told that rooms weren't ready yet. There were other groups waiting as well. When we were called to let us know our room was ready we went up to the front desk and was told we needed to wait on line again with people who hadn't registered yet. There were about 12 groups on line at this point. I couldn't believe it, so while my husband waited I went up to the desk to ask another agent and she said there wasn't a separate line for guests who already checked in. She said there weren't enough agents working. I said that was ridiculous and she gave me the keys right away. The food in the restaurants in the casino was not very good at all. The wait in flavortown was very long. We waited for soup and a sandwich, and nachos for almost 40 minutes. This was a Sunday night through Tuesday trip. Not crowded at all either in the restaurant or in the casino. The staff in the hotel were very nice but it is very clear that they are short staffed and you have to wait for everything. I can't imagine how it is on a busy weekend.

There is no mini fridge - only a mini bar where you automatically get charged if you touch anything. I was told while checking out that I could have rented a mini fridge for an additional fee... There was also no microwave. I was a bit disappointed with these things considering the price. However, it is a good place to stay if you will take advantage of what the facility has to offer - the casino, restaurants, and pool.

Welcoming

We are originally from the Poconos. We knew it was a conveinent location to visit family. The staff were great, very focused on providing excellent service. The only thing we were less pleased was the smell of cigarette smoke as you enter the hotel.

Valet staff was great, hotel staff was awful, casino staff was horrible, rude and lacked any customer service skills. Property was clean and well kept.
