Lovely lovely staff, warm inviting and comfortable lounge area with fire. A quiet hotel...perfectly placed. As a solo female traveller , I feel safe, secure and comfortable. Particularl mention to the housekeeping ladies who were just lovley.

Excellent stop especially for dogs they know what they have to do with dogs ie hard floors so they can clean thoroughly. They think of everything a dog needs even towels at the door for raining days

The accessible room needs to be made more accessible. Bed too high. Toilet too low. Shower too small for someone with mobility issues. Otherwise, it's a lovely hotel for a short stay.

It’s hard to comment properly as we arrived late in the dark but even still the staff on the desk were so friendly greeting us, and super helpful and understanding when I realised I’d made a mistake with the booking. It’s lovely and quiet despite being so close to the motorway. Immediately put at ease and reassured that it’s a great place to stay, even if as it is for us just an overnight stopover mid journey.

Lovely stay. Bit of disappointment with room booking as had go a call 2 days beffore travelling from the hotels offering different rooms on groud and 1st floor but on arrival we gor room on 2nd floor. It didnt spoil our stay but we enjoy our stay over all

Extraordinarily comfortable and well appointed without ostentatious or cloying luxury. Staff members were genuine, professional, on the ball and helpful. Food was delicious. Outstanding attention to detail. Had a great bike ride around the eastern Lake District and Westmorland Dales. Would like to stay there again. Totally sound northern stuff.
