We initially walked straight past reception as it wasn't immediately obvious, the receptionist was hidden behind the very high desk and certainly wasn't the most helpful - I don't think she wanted to be there! The room was ok but the lack of light was an issue when trying to read in bed and it was very hot and stuffy (obviously not helped by this weather, but it took me a couple of days to be able to open the window.) The bathroom was lovely and clean with toiletries provided and plenty of towels. All in all it was an OK stay, but I wouldn't rush back.

PROS: Lovely staff and very good food. Stable block room was clean. Bed very comfortable and all linens excellent. Hot water plentiful. Iron and board was a bonus. Quick response to noise disturbance from cretin in next room. Otherwise is quiet. Free parking. Easy walking distance to town centre. CONS: Room was very tired with elderly furniture. Wifi not good. Frequent buffering and kept going off. No mirror for drying hair near socket. No phone in room, which would have been helpful when dealing with said cretin. There was a card showing a number for reception but didn't see it in the dark. Got a useless bot when I rang the main number. Despite the above, we would stay again.

NEVER STAY IN THIS HELL HOLE. even the welcome mat had a 3 foot hole in it lol the room was old, ripped wall paper, many things was broken, the furniture was old and broken. most and I think illegal, due to fire regulations was the windows was restricted to opening 3 inches, with blocks and screws, we would have had no fire escape if the fire was on our 2nd floor landing, We had no sleep in the two nights stay as it was over 40 degrees in the room with no air paint flaking off radiators, broken glass in the doors the staff was rude and non caring the food was terrible, served a salad that was wilted and not fit to eat, day they messed up our breakfast and gave us fish , instead of bacon we left after 2 days of a 6 day stay

The hotel rooms are in need of serious attention they are old and shabby far too hot in summer no air con or even electric fan in room. The fire doors are extremely noisy and slam shut and you can hear people talking and using the toilet in other rooms. Have stayed here on several occasions as it is one of the few places in Yeovil that is central and has parking leaving very few other options which is why I believe Greene King won`t spend any money on the Hotel and upgrade as there is no competition. Staff are pleasant enough and helpful, food is not so great I recently ordered food that was advertised as "skin on fries" they were cheap frozen skinny fries and the chicken tenders were anything but they were fried to death so i`m not impressed. The beer garden whilst nice needs the grassed area levelling as myself and a couple of others hurt ankles falling down "holes".

Rooms clean and warm but could do with a freshen up decoratively. Staff were very helpful. My only issue was the lack of disabled facilities. The ground floor rooms were sorted, but no walk in shower was available for us, and the small lift in the bar area was not working, nor did I see anyone attending to it during our 2 night stay. This limited where my family could sit for meals.

A friendly and supportive receptionist greeted me. The room was bright, fresh and clean. A good night's sleep was had in a comfortable bed followed by a powerful hot shower in the morning.

We stay here when in Yeovil visiting relatives. The Hotel is dated, and a little 'tired' . However there is always a war., cheerful welcome. The rooms are large and windows can be opened which is a big bonus in my view. We made the mistake of trying a different hotel once. Never again. The manor suits our needs and budget.

The staff were excellent from check in to check out, very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and well maintained, a very comfortable stay.

Nice place, with lots of history, clean and tidy. Just a little tired in places, though not a big issue. Enjoyed the stay.
