Horrendous!!!! I had to cut my stay short as I was traveling with my child and the place was an absolute dump and not safe for a child. The door didn't lock from the inside or the outside, no hot water at night to then scalding hot water in the morning with barely any pressure from the shower (one extreme to the other) It wasn't clean. There was construction going on in the hotel that was never mentioned that would be happening. Carpet pulled up all along the corridor with pipes lying everywhere for guests to try and tip toe around. Constant banging and hammering from the workmen... Also smoking and shouting etc. underneath the bedroom window first thing in the morning, exactly what you want when trying to relax in a hotel. Reached out to hotel management and they were about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. They said they would take this on board but if I wanted a refund to get in touch with who I booked it under which I did but they refused to acknowledge the emails for a week until this morning they refused to refund me anything even though I paid for nights I didn't even stay as I had to cut the stay short because it was that bad. Awful!! But not surprised in the slightest, sums up their character perfectly.

Hotel appeared to be a building site

It was a lovely room with very comfortable beds. WiFi was brilliant and smart television excellent Shower could have been stronger I hope the renovations go well and we will be back!!

Arrived at the property with no one in attendance key was picked uo from remote locked box. Went to the room and found tbe doir to ths bedroom had dirt and stains on the door, the main roller blind in the bedroom when unrolled had dead moths stuck to it. The bathroom didn't have any toilet paper (a badic necessity i would have thought) which we had to go to the shops and buy, we went to the main building to complain but there was no staff there, building is under heavy refurbishment and looks like a building site. Had no point of contact the full stay. Stated on the hotel ad that breakfast was available but we found out only aftet we paid the room that there was ni facilities for breakfast and was informed by email there was plenty food outlets on the high street. Did not enjoy the stay and definitely would not recommend tbis Hotel to anyone.

Avoid this property!! It can't be called a hotel in its current state as it's being renovated. Looks like they are renting out a few rooms whilst work in progress. No staff on the premises. Key safe to retrieve room key inside front door that was permanently open as no lock, so amyone could wander in.Room door lock wasn't very secure. No bar or restaurant facilities. Building materials in entrance and stairway. Bed was broken, no soap in bathroom. Toilet not attached to the wall properly. The shower didn't work. No spare pillows. No indication that the property was being worked on during booking process. If I had known I would not have booked.

No staff, place under construction and everything out of action, shoeer was terrible, ywah wasnt amazing

No staff. No breakfast. No remote control for the TV. No service or staff on the premaces. And the building is a work in progress. All chaos and no staff.

The hotel is being renovated so there’s planks on the ground and the restaurant was closed. However, it’s a short walk into town to buy dinner or provisions. It was comfy and quiet and close to the Abernathy forest. Everything we wanted. The grounds keeper was so nice and he helped us out upon arrival.

Everything was great apart from the fact I was expecting breakfast to be available. Information when booking stated it would be.

The Hotel is currently being worked on. We were not made aware of this before our stay. There was no access to any of the hotel facilities. The photographs for the hotel does not match what we seen duringmour stay

The room was fine. Bathroom had a huge soaking tub and separate shower which were clean. We stayed two nights. Hotel said it had daily maid service. We came back from our first day of travels and our coffee cups had not been replaced nor had the coffee supplies. In an email to the hotel earlier that day, I asked for two additional pillows as there was only one pillow per person and they were quite flat. They did not bring extra pillows. I went to the foyer where there was a phone to call “staff. The woman who answered said there wasn’t any staff at the hotel, she tired to find more info but said they could bring coffee supplies tomorrow, but it wouldn’t arrive before we departed. The next day I had several emails with “management” and they said they only do daily housekeeping for “stayovers.” Two nights is a stay over. The email then discussed towels and emptying wastebaskets. I never mentioned any of that, just coffee supplies and pillows. I try not to disparage hotels if I am being picky about an issue, but I do feel refilling coffee amenities is part of what we pay for the hotel. But more so, I am writing because the management didn’t seem to care at all and didn’t seem to read my email as they addressed issues I never mentioned.

No staff on site No restaurant or bar. Room only but good value. Good places to eat in town.

Lovely warm room with four poster bed, corner bath and shower, plenty hot water. continental breakfast could of been better, but overall a happy stay and will be back.

Good value option. The room was functional and clean enough. The shared bathroom was fine. There was a small continental style breakfast provided though the milk was out of date. The house itself is atmospheric. Overall a good stay and would happily return. Microwave also available to prepare ready meals etc.

Room was a bit out dated but the room was big warm and very clean .Great comfy bed .The only issue was shower was running boiling water turned it down to cold and it still ran boiling water .So I did not have shower .I did message the owners they said they will get it looked at .For value for money it was good .It's ok for a couple of nights.

It's a lovely place with a pleasant views of the mountains and the garden area. The hot water tap for the bathtub was hit or miss (sometimes it was hot, sometimes cool) and the shower door didn't close all the way. Everything was clean. The staff checked in via email to make sure I had everything I needed, and that check in went okay. The room was spacious with high ceilings. The large bathtub was quite nice. The radiators all worked great. The internet was almost nonexistent, but I had phone service. All in all a good stay. Oh, the breakfast consists of a few basic cereals, with milk and juice in the fridge, and individually wrapped croissants. The coffee is okay, but it is free from an automatic machine. Would I stay here again? Yes. Would I recommend to friends? Yes.
