Really enjoyed our stay, staff were really helpful and friendly. Very pleased with our room. Love that it's quirky with lots of character. Breakfast was delicious 😋 Even our two little dogs enjoyed. Will be returning.

Quaint hotel in Ross on Wye. Located on the Main Street with a small car park available. Rustic feel to the place, wonky stairs (although there is an alternative flight)! Room was well equipped with modern amenities and bathroom. Breakfast cooked to order with lighter options available. Good selection of beer on draught. I’d happily stay here again if in the area.

Nice cosy pub. Accessible car park. The pub and room has that rustic charm that I was looking for. I don't usually sleep well when working away but I had a great nights sleep. If I am working in the area again, I would certainly look to see if this place had availability first.

good position near the town centre. large room but bathroom small and basin difficult to access. the only downside was traffic outside the window very early in the morning. good breakfast and very good cappuccino.

Lovely staff, the breakfast was very good. Rooms were clean, but a bit dated.

Lovely old building. Staff were excellent, helpful and cheerful. Very nice breakfasts, didn't dine there in the evening, so can't comment on the evening meals. Having parking to the rear was most useful, but has limited number of spaces. Only "negative" was being a very old property the stairs were a bit of a challenge if you are on the top floor.

Great one night stay. Lovely room reasonably priced. Staff were absolutely brilliant. I would recommend the King's Head to everyone.

Very nice breakfast and a place to securely store our bikes

What stood out in this experience was the kindness of the staff and the focus on customer care. We had an issue during our stay and the tool great care. Beside that, in our case staying here during the hottest days of the year with record temperatures which they were clearly not prepared to handle didn’t help. Breakfast was excellent and location very convenient

Firstly, it was lovely to stay in an independently owned hotel where the staff clearly have great pride in their hotel and ensuring that guests are happy with their stay. Everyone was charming and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and the evening meal, although not an extensive menu, was freshly prepared and nicely presented. In the evenings this is an extremely popular pub with locals and visitors. The bars were absolutely packed and in the Corn Exchange next door was an AC/DC tribute band. We really enjoyed the lively atmosphere (and we're in our 70's). Two things to take into consideration: The stairs are extremely winding and steep. Ask for help with your luggage if you need to. It won't be a problem. The entrance to the car park is very tight, through a narrow archway. Unless you have a small car don't attempt to turn in from the High Street. Turn up the road opposite the entrance, turn round and come back down facing the archway and enter it square on. Enjoy your stay.

Great breakfest clean rooms daily

Lovely wonky hotel lots of charachter...rooms lovely...with great beds...linen and beautiful em suite....

Everything about the kings head was to our liking. We had a wonderfully quiet room at the back and really comfortable beds with crisp white sheets. The breakfast was well cooked and the staff warm and friendly.

Only reason I didn’t give this lovely quaint place 5* was I found the lady on reception when we arrived ahead a bit “curt” no hello how can I help you, just told us check in isn’t until 3 o’clock so to come back then, the next lady was lovely btw. I also don’t know if we timed it wrong but breakfast was a little chaotic, the only table we could find that hadn’t been cleared wasn't set up for breakfast so we had to request milk, butter, napkins, spoons…but the servers were lovely and accommodating plus this place has a great location and the rooms are impeccable!

Breakfast was fabulous and the bedroom was very clean. Bar had Aircon which was blissful with a temp of 32 degrees !! Staff went out of their way to help with the heat - fan in the room and a spare sheet so you didn’t have to use the quilt …. Much appreciated
