Out stay was wonderful, I do wish it was easier to get transportation from place to place more frequently. Everything was clean, good food options.

The resort shares amenities with all of the resorts along the property, which is a huge plus. However, depending on which resort you stay at, some amenities can be quite a walk away. Thankfully, the trolleys run frequently and make it easy to get wherever you need to go. The check-in process took longer than I would have liked. After traveling, I was eager to get to my room, change, and head straight to the pool, but the wait delayed those plans. We loved Star Camp for the kids—they had a great time! The evening entertainment was decent; nothing spectacular, but it was enjoyable and family-friendly. Overall, we had a great stay and found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. I would definitely return, but next time I’d probably choose Lindo or Selection for a different experience.

Everything was amazing and the staff was great! We enjoyed all the wonderful food and restaurants on all of the property. The different pools were the best, and the beach was within walking distance. I highly recommend Iberostar, especially if you enjoy animals and wildlife. My son loved seeing flamingos and peacocks everywhere.

Great Pool, friendly staff, average food, but waives is the lowers category in Iberostar, if you want to have better experiencia: Iberostar selection Maya is your Hotel.

Iberostar was a beautiful resort and everyone was extremely nice and helpful. There were lots of activities throughout the day and the mall was neat to go walk around and explore. A few things to note- ours said we had a $300USD resort credit but it was a discount program. You had to spend $100 to get $25 off. It wasn’t at all like a traditional credit program. The non-motorized activities were great but the operating hours h were limited 10-1230 and 130-4 and you were only given 1 hour per day for everyone to be able to use. The restaurant reservation system only allowed you to reserve each day for some reason. I had success by messaging the concierge at 7 am and seeing what was available. Just keep in mind certain restaurants are only open certain days. We missed out on hibachi because it was closed the day we wanted to go. Overall it was a great experience. There was wildlife all around and plenty to do. We will definitely come back.

The pools and evening shows were amazing , for the most part staff was incredible - food was okay.

Staff was very helpful and friendly, rooms were clean and the property was beautiful. We loved seeing all the wildlife and they did a great job of cleaning up the sargassum grass off the beach every morning. My criticism would be with the restaurants and food. While you’re told there are 7 restaurants to eat at, 4 of them you have to make reservations for through the app. We were told we could book starting at midnight the day of. We tried numerous times at all times of the morning and the app just said “contact your concierge”. So we were only able to eat at one of the restaurants we wanted to. Also certain restaurants are only open certain days so it really limits you if you’re only there for a short amount of time. We also had to wait almost an hour to get our food after we ordered. Another complaint would be if you go to one of the other resorts pools, which we were told we had all access to, we were told we could not order drinks at the pool bars because it wasn’t our resort even though it’s all Iberostar. Also disliked being tracked down by the concierge any time we went to the lobby to sign up for their 1.5hr presentation for a timeshare.

**2/5 stars — Mixed experience: beautiful property, but maintenance and food safety concerns** Our family stayed at the Iberostar Del Mar Resort in Cancun across two rooms, and while the resort grounds and beach are lovely, several issues need to be addressed. **Room issues: One of our two rooms had a malfunctioning A/C unit that struggled to keep the room cool for much of our stay. That same room also had visible mold on the bathroom ceiling — not something you want to see on a resort at this price point. Housekeeping was notified and we switched this room, however the maintenance is lacking. **Food quality inconsistency: We noticed a significant drop-off in food quality at the Del Mar side compared to the Lindo side. Meals at Lindo were consistently fresh and well-prepared, while Del Mar's offerings felt noticeably lower in quality by comparison. **Food safety concerns: This is what concerned us most. Yogurt was left out on a cold plate (not properly chilled/on ice) every single day at breakfast, which raises real food safety questions, especially in Cancun's heat. **Open-air restaurant concept: Several of the Del Mar restaurants are open-air, and combined with the heat and humidity, this made dining there genuinely uncomfortable at times — not just a minor inconvenience but something that affected our overall enjoyment of meals. ** Upsells via the Presentations- This is typical in Cancun and obviously not a big deal if you are familiar. We went through 6 people.

Our stay at your resort was extremely disappointing and, unfortunately, unsafe. During our stay, my wife slipped and fell on a wet floor that had no warning signs whatsoever. As a result of the fall, she suffered injuries that have continued to affect her. Shortly afterward, I also slipped on the same hazardous surface, hitting my head and scraping my knee. What made the situation even worse was the response from the staff. Despite repeatedly requesting medical assistance, we were handed a dirty glove filled with ice instead of a proper ice pack. When we questioned it, a staff member named Jared at the reception laughed and referred to it as an “ice packet.” At approximately 12:10 a.m., I called again requesting medical assistance and was asked if I wanted another “ice packet”—again referring to the unsanitary glove filled with ice. Providing a dirty glove to someone with an open wound is unacceptable and poses a serious hygiene and infection risk. Beyond the safety concerns, several other aspects of our stay were unacceptable. Staff were often rude and unfriendly, transportation repeatedly dropped us off at the wrong locations, food was left uncovered with flies around it, and we were incorrectly told we could not use the pool because it was not included in our package. We were also disappointed that the beach was closed due to excessive seaweed. The lack of concern, professionalism, and basic customer care turned what should have been a relaxing vacation into a stressfull

Great food, nice pools, love the golf cart transportation around the property. The little town center/shopping center is the cutest! We also loved the activities for the kids.

Enjoyed all of the wildlife. Beach setup was great! Pools were hot and dirty. Not refreshing at all. Expected better food at buffets and restaurants at this level of resort. Have been to many AI resorts in Riviera Maya and food was much better at less expensive resorts like Sandos, El CID, Riu. We paid to up grade to Lindo from Beach for the AC at buffets and lobby bar but felt food quality/AC was lacking overall.
