Beautiful hidden gem. Staff was very accommodating during a power outage.

This property is beautiful and so castle-like I loved its charm although hidden it was worth it. Dinning, shopping, and club bars are all at a walkable distance. Only used Ubers to go to mall and T-Mobile District which are about a 15 minute ride. Room was well air conditioned as comfortable. A must stay. I will be referring to my friends and family. The best part is that we arrived early and could leave our luggage so that we can start exploring. We lucked out and got an early check in because our room was ready. There was a small fee but nothing bad, we got to rest and refresh after a 4 hour flight so it came in good time 👌💕😎

Small property. Request one of the roof top rooms, narrow stairway, but worth it. Manager was amazing and super helpful! No frills, but very romantic. We will stay there again!

It’s a beautiful and accommodating experience. It is close to everything in Old San Juan. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Villa Herencia Hotel was absolutely perfect! The location couldn’t be better—tucked away on a charming cobblestone street just steps from Old San Juan’s most iconic spots, restaurants, and historic sights. The atmosphere is magical, full of character and charm, with beautiful architecture and cozy, elegant touches throughout the property. Check-in was seamless and easy, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. I secretly planned a proposal during our stay, and the setting couldn’t have been more romantic. The rooftop and interior courtyards made for unforgettable moments—and the photos turned out stunning! This place truly made our trip unforgettable. Highly recommended for couples, special occasions, or anyone looking to experience the best of San Juan with style and comfort. We will definitely be coming back!

The king room with terrace was wonderful ! We felt like Puertoricans, we walked everywhere, we went to mass at the Catheral, got pina coladas, talked to the locals, ate authentic foods. Love walking distance to the fort and shops, grocery store and ports. Truly memorable for our 25 wedding anniversay ! Gracias to all the staff. Wish there would be free bottles of water in our room, it was super HOT out.

I loved the property, however there wasn't any parking available, and we didn't have access to bottled water. The rooms were cool but no adjustable thermostat. No breakfast options. However the hotel is absolutely beautiful and authentic.

Really nicely located and beautifully designed. It’s got such great charm and is pretty central in Old San Juan, it was easy for us to walk around to all the things we had planned in the area. Honestly loved everything about the place and wish we had more time there, the staff was very friendly. There was a small, occasional leak above the bathroom doorway but it wasn’t bad and didn’t lessen anything about our stay. It’s an older building so some small things like that are to be expected, but it’s beautifully kept up, so no complaints from me.

Funky but sheik. Rooms are small but cute. A/C works fine. Shower is very nice. Location is great. Parking available nearby for $25/night.

We love the history and charm of this place. Have been here before. Location is central but off the beaten trail. Given howw close to Fortaleza we feel very safe. We can walk everywhere in OSJ in an easy effort. OSJ is one of our favorite destinations.

We were charmed by the history, artwork, and the atmosphere of Villa Herencia. It was a fun bonus to soak in the rooftop claw foot bath tubs on the lovely roof top deck in the evening! If you are looking for a small historic boutique hotel in the heart of Old San Juan, look no more! We also recommend taking the elevator to the 6th floor of the sister hotel, Casa Blanca, to take in the views.

I loved that the hotel was smack dab in the middle of Old San Juan. The architecture and cultural vibe of the hotel was very authentic. The hotel had everything I needed. As a solo traveler I was safe and secure. My room, the classic queen, was small, perfect for one, would’ve been a bit tight with two. Outlets were sparse (as expected in a building several hundred years old) and the Flat screen TV didn’t work great. Staff was friendly and welcoming *****.
