Please stay here. It is beautiful. Breakfast is amazing. Staff is friendly. Room is luxurious. There is road noise but it’s not bad. You can see wildlife from your balcony

I’m a Hilton diamond member and my experts tips were not high but this Boutique changed my mind since the day I arrived, Muriel helped yes check in and he did a superb job giving us recommendations(that we loved) and showing me the amenities and the room. The facilities are super clean, very well maintained and super central. This will be my spot every time that I go back to Costa Rica.

El hotel tiene como recepción una galería de arte así que de entrada ya es una linda experiencia. El personal es sumamente amable! La habitación es enorme para el precio. Desayuno rico (tal vez me hubiera gustado que tuvieran fruta. Lugar tranquilo, perfecto para desconectarte; lindas vistas a la montaña pero en especial los sonidos de la naturaleza en la noche al estar tan cerca de la montaña son un plus! Ya es mi segunda visita y además volveré porque son pet friendly

I visited this location in May 2026 during the low season. The rooms were very spacious and nice. I did have an issue with the lock on my door that led to the pool area. The staff were EXTREMELY quick to fix the lock within the hour! The free breakfast in the morning was delicious and the staff had plenty of helpful directions for affordable excursions that are very simple to navigate. The owner of the property is VERY sweet, understanding and accommodation. He has the most adorable puppy as well. Will definitely stay again! Thank you so much! ❤️

Hello, my wife and I loved our stay in your hotel. The staff where just perfect, kind and helpful. Special thanks to Mauriel and Caleb. The service, the room, the breakfast, the pool where just perfect. The view of our room was fantastic. We had a view on the jungle and many animals. Milles mercis 😀

Sauberes großes Zimmer, ein äußerst zuvorkommendes und nettes Personal, man hat sich zu jeder Zeit herzlichen willkommen gefühlt. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls sehr lecker. Der Blick direkt in einen kleinen Teil Regenwald ist absolut genial. Wir haben am ersten morgen beim Frühstück ein Rudel Affen beim Essen und spielen zusehen können. Wir würden dieses Hotel nochmal buchen!

I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Plaza Yara. The staff was incredibly helpful with recommendations and information. The property backs up to Manuel Antonio National Park. We heard the howler monkeys in the am and pm and saw lots of macaws!

The staff here are so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very spacious. We really enjoyed our stay and sitting on their beautiful back porch watching the spider monkeys play. The breakfast is made to order and very good. The only down side I would say is the road they are located on is busy so you do hear traffic noise.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!! Breakfast was ready early so that we could get on our way to our tour!! Loved the view from our patio and the pool area!! Clean and quiet!! Staff was so friendly!!!

The place was perfect. Close to everything. Breakfast was incredible. Staff was very helpful and there was security all night. Don’t be afraid to take the bus! It was easy and at $2 round trip, much better than driving. Animals all around the property.

I loved my stay at this hotel. My room was amazing with all the amenities , the bathrooms felt fresh and new and the room was massive. I also liked that they had kitchen area with coffee and milk ! Mauriel was the kindest person ever - he helped me with everything ! I had to run for a tour as my shuttle was late. Mauriel was so helpful - he. It only helped me quickly get a cab but also provided towels without me even asking him and also helped me with ordering lunch. Fire over restful to him! This hotel also has amazing breakfast options and start at 6.30 am which is awesome. The kitchen staff were also very helpful and gave me my breakfast in a Togo container when I requested them which was also very nice of them. All in all 10/10 to them for service , views , food and everything else . Gracias !

Hotel is amazing! huge rooms, jungle view, great pool, and most important super nice staff. the breakfast is a bit out of class for this hotel, but the niceness of the employees cover it all...

Hotel Plaza Yara exceeded my expectations. This was a last minute booking between two destinations. From the moment we stepped into reception till we left every encounter we had with the staff was gracious, helpful and filled with kindness. Our room was beautifully clean, spacious and complete with everything we could need for our stay. The breakfast choices were amazing and made to order and delicious. We were allowed to continue to use the amenities beyond our check out time which was great as we had some time to spare before leaving for our next destination. The art work on the gallery was so amazing. I would really like to bring some home with me. I haven't ruled that out as we need to pass by the hotel again on our way home. I highly recommend staying in this small and very thoughtful hotel. Pura Vida.

We stayed here for two nights and had a suite that was really very large. The room was very spacious, with a small kitchenette and even two double beds. Overall, there was plenty of space and it was very comfortable. However, the room had a slight musty smell. We couldn’t figure out exactly what caused it. Otherwise, everything was clean and the staff were very nice. We especially liked the location in the jungle. When we stepped out of the suite, we had a beautiful view of the jungle right away, which made our stay very special. The breakfast was fine.

El desayuno era del día super rico cualquier opción que pidieras, el personal era muy atento, la habitación era bonita, confortable el aire estaba muy bien, los colchones bien solo a mi parecer un copa sueves no tan firmes, e instalaciones estaban tal cual las fotos, la alberca estaba muy rica ya que estaba el agua templada. En especial me tocó la atención en recepción de Mauriel y fue mega amable en todo me apoyaba y hasta me ayudo a reservar tours. Y todos siempre muy serviciales. Te dan de cortesía palomitas, un cuarto de leche diario en la habitación. Lo único que no tienen comida ni cena ahí pero puedes salir o pedir en el restaurante que ellos te recomiendan y te lo llevan a la puerta de la habitación. Lo recomiendo 😊

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Plaza Yara. Mauriel and Caleb made us feel right at home and were very friendly, professional, and helpful; both of them gave us great tips on where to go and helped us book a couple of excursions. The other staff, including our server in the restaurant, were also very pleasant and professional. The room was very spacious and clean, and the breakfast each day was delicious. The pool area was also clean and very relaxing. We were able to see scarlet macaws, a toucan, and monkeys right from the hotel. The mosaics throughout the hotel and art gallery in the lobby were beautiful and fun to look at. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We spent 2 nights in this boutique hotel. It was an interesting experience. The hotel reception was in an art gallery full of paintings. The staff who checked us in was super friendly and helpful. He gave us a tour of the hotel as he helped us carry our luggage to our room, and he answered all our questions patiently. The room was spacious with a small balcony facing the jungle. We could hear birds and monkeys in the morning. Breakfast was delicious and filling. The staff serving us was very courteous. It was certainly an enjoyable stay for us.
