Casino on property is very outdated with old slot machines. Very small square footage with very dark lighting. Tables are limited to about 6 total. Must pay a 7 percent fee on winnings on tables above what you bought in for. If you have losing receipts, you can claim them as a loss up until your same amount of winnings in order to not pay taxes on. Slot machines are a different deal all together. You go to the counter, give them amount you want to play, and they put a amount on a card for the slots. The percentage for winnings is a Mexican law, not the casinos, is what they told us. Casino does not open until 6:00 p.m. at night. Blackjack tables were a minimum of a $10 bet with three to two odds. I played four nites and came out losing still. If you are a casino player, this is not the most popular entertainment. Even though the casino stated they were not part of the resort, I feel the resort could do a better job in getting a better entertainment in a casino for it's customers.

The ocean was slightly visible from my room. The room and buildings were kept clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The pools were kept clean. There was always people working outside to keep the property maintained. The buffet food wasn’t the greatest but the à la cartes were very good.

Beautiful beach and pools but need more chairs around the bigger pools. Rooms were not good. No sound proofing and could hear everything in the hallway and bathroom. Beds were not comfortable. Weird noises and banging from the ceiling vents that woke us up every hour. Buffets were just ok. La carts were good. Tokyo was amazing. Enjoyed strikers at night for sure.

Room was great and cleaned daily, buffets had good selection, getting the tickets to reserve à la carte restaurants helped ensure it was possible to get reservations, pool activities were very fun, beach was scenic and well maintained.

Barcelo was so much more than we could've expected! We came for our honeymoon and were truly blown away by the beauty of the property, the activities they constantly had going, how kind and helpful the staff was, everywhere you look someone is cleaning, the food was amazing and plentiful. I could go on for days on how amazing this property was. We were a premium level guest with the ability to explore the connecting resorts and all were so beautiful! We loved it so much we extended our stay 2 more nights. No regrets! We hope to be back same time next year!

People were very friendly. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean and the drinks are good. The buffett was basically the same food every day. Decent but not much vegetarian options. The restaurants were good.

All the nice restaurants you book were fully booked but the manager Carlos was very accommodating and booked us 5 restaurants for our six night stay. We have a few small issues that got taken care of. We were 8 and 2 of us booked 4 each and paid the same but 4 were premium and 4 were not which was strange. The room are clean but very dated. Good trip over all - the resort is very well looked after and clean

There were a lot of rocks on the beach, no food menu, people put their towels on the lounge chairs at 7:30 am and coming back couple hours later On the other hand, selection of food was very good, servers were available most of the time Few good concerts at night In the room the bed was very comfortable and you have everything you need, iron with board, hairdryer, etc

The rooms were clean and the grounds were nicely kept. The staff were very pleasant. I thought the gym and spa were excellent. If there is any shortcoming, I’d say the rooms were a bit dated looking, but I didn’t care because the beds were great, cold beer in the fridge and everything function perfectly.
