A beautiful peaceful location set in acres of gardens and woodland. The restaurant food was extremely good and great value for money.

Staff were excellent. Evening meal was fantastic.

We booked last minute for one night after a long drive and could not have been happier with our choice . Property and grounds are beautiful but what really made it for us was the excellent food , the choice and the fabulous staff . We arrived last minute , with a dog , had forgotten to advise the restaurant I was vegetarian and they were incredibly busy. However, bar and restaurant staff were so friendly and informed , they couldn’t do enough for you and made the whole experience a real treat , we will definitely be returning .

Excellent stay. It was hot and no air conditioning but there was a large fan in the room. Extremely helpful staff. We only had the evening meal but that was excellent. Couldn’t ask for more.

Beautiful property, friendly staff and a great restaurant

Leuke en goed onderhouden locatie. Het historische karakter van het kasteel is prachtig bewaard gebleven, terwijl een stijlvolle moderne toets zorgt voor extra comfort en een eigentijdse uitstraling. Genoten van een heerlijk diner in het restaurant. Het ontbijt was eenvoudig, maar lekker. Het aanbod was beperkt, maar alles wat je nodig hebt was aanwezig en verzorgd. Voldoende parkeerruimte. Supervriendelijk personeel. Er was een trouwfeest op het domein, maar niets van lawaai gemerkt ‘s nachts. Dit kasteel is een aanrader!

Loads of parking, 4 electric chargers, a really lovely restaurant & an amazing & very reasonable wine list. The rooms have no aircon, we slept with the window open but as it’s close to the ferry port people leave early & drive over gravel past the front of the chateau so not the best night’s sleep in the summer. Beautifully decorated & very lovely staff, especially in the restaurant.

Friendly service - worked hard, as short of staff

This is a really lovely property very let down by sweet but woefully under-managed and poorly trained staff. Waited 10 minutes to check in and had to go and look for someone. Staff were all very young or trainees and no-one seemed to be directing them. No one seemed to be able to answer questions without going to ask someone else which took ages. The few tables outside were left uncleared. An odd thing to mention but my bathroom had a quarter of a roll of loo paper on the holder. Never seen that before! Dinner was very good though. Such a shame as the staff issue marred what should otherwise have been a perfect stay. Not sure I’d go back for that reason.

The room had no air conditioning and despite the efforts of the guy who checked us in, he could not locate a fan for us. Our room was extremely hot. We had no option but to sleep with the window open and by morning the insects had had a feast (on us). Extremely dissatisfied - the hotel should have made provision for a cooling fan considering the high temperatures.

This is one of the most beautiful exquisite looking properties we’ve ever stayed. We loved the romantic, classical French chateau mystique Chateau Cocove provides. The service, food and charm are worth revisiting.

Beautiful hotel with brilliant staff and a fantastic restaurant. Only minor issue was no channels on TV (checked with other guests and this was a common problem).

Because we were 3 people we had a converted cottage which was very nice looking, however practical it was not! The bathroom was set in a way you couldn't move with an open shower, the toilet was right next to the bed on the opposite side to the bathroom. Upstairs was not really well lit and super hot. Put that with the piles of dead ants which did not appear in the hours between cleaning and us arriving and zero vegan food no matter what the menu says and I will not be booking here again. The only good thing I can say is that the staff were very eager to help hoovering up the ants and offering a different cottage which I thought was too late to change to. But their efforts were appreciated and I'm grateful for them trying to help!

The place is amazing - set in a grand estate with sprawling lawns and well maintained The food - absolutely "chefs kiss" The only issue is air conditioning - there isnt especially in the summer when the rooms are extremely warm
