Very friendly, excellent food comfortable room, would recommend

Unfortunately a guest was smoking heavily in his room. The odour wasn’t very nice.

Absolutely brilliant stay. Staff friendly and efficient, food excellent. Only addition would be another chair in the bedroom please.

The hotel is set in a beautiful location. The room was lovely containing all the amenities and beautiful furnishings. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We had an excellent time at Slater's and would willingly recommend a stay there to family & friends. The Staff were unfailingly helpful & friendly, and the evening meal was appreciated by all four of us. A good choice of real ales was a bonus too. The rooms were comfortable and there was plenty of car parking space available. The two lads were amused by the noisy and obvious sexual activity in the bathroom above Room 6. Fortunately, no water came through the ceiling. Hope the cleaning staff didn't have too much mopping up to do.

Very enjoyable and snug night. Restaurant was excellent.

Had a fab 2 nights stay , bed comfy, room quiet lovely outlook into the beautiful garden. Bathroom had some decoration issues but that didn't impact our stay. Staff absolutely excellent!! So lovely & nothing too much trouble.

There were a group in a room that were very loud at 1am very difficult to sleep due to the noise

Lovely country pub / hotel, good food and drink, relaxed atmosphere and pleasant staff, I've used it regularly qwhen in the area.

Lovely overnight stay; an excellent evening meal and breakfast.

Really good stay. Staff were excellent and good fun. They sorted the allocation of an extra room at short notice to solve a family issue. Highly recommended with sincere thanks.

Very good value for money

Accommodation was separate from the actual hotel. The room was very cold.

I use this lovely country hotel / pub about 4 times per year, nice quiet location, friendly staff, typical pub / restaurant, busy enough but not crowded and with good beer and food, lovely breakfast served by a real character, would recommend.

Really pleasant and comfortable hotel, with a very good restaurant. Would like a fridge in the room and a reading light - hard to read a paper. I never have breakfast - so the “free” breakfast is wasted on me!
