Great place. Staff brilliant and very accommodating. Food is amazing.

Great stay in a very pleasant room overlooking the cricket pitch and down to the river. Very friendly, professional and helpful staff. Good choice of bar or restaurant food with local beer on tap.

Delightful stay with incredibly friendly & willing staff,nothing was too much trouble. A mixture of old and new & my room(in the garden block) was spacious,modern & a lovely view from the patio over the cricket pitch & down to the Tyne. Food was very good,I ate in the bar but you can go more formal if you want. Hotel is in an enviable position,just outside Bellingham so access to roads easy. Even an indoor pool. If you like comfort,without formality,I would highly recommend.

The accommodation was good and the food and the service was very good. We enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful.

Location is outstanding. Rooms with big views of surrounding countryside. Friendly welcoming staff. Well equipped and presented rooms.

Set in a beautiful location this traditional hotel is a great base for anyone looking to explore the local countryside. My trip was budiness based and was perfectly adequate for my needs. Food and service were excellent but if you want a high tech and luxury stay this is not what this hotel is about.....good traditional hotel.

Fantastic value, extremely comfortable and generously proportioned room which I would have paid double for in some parts of the country. Hotel is in a lovely setting fronted by a cricket pitch, and the staff were all personable and attentive.

My single superior room was just what the Doctor ordered a haven to reset and decompress. I used the pool which was quite large and not over run with people thanks to booked time slots. I had a double bed and great views a great room for a single traveller. I had a lovely stay and will definitely visit again as it really does represent value for money

Staff exceptional location spot on.

We stayed here for a weekend and enjoyed it a lot.The room was clean, the breakfasts were excellent and it was great to have a pool to be able to use. The hotel is ideally located, with lots to do and see within walking distance. We would happily return.

We had a fantastic time. Great staff and excellent food in a beautiful location. Looking to book again for spring. First class.
