Nice,clean room with lovely outlook to river. A genuine historic gem in the beautiful Derwent valley.

The room was spotless and very comfortable. The amenities were perfect down to the fantastic milk brother! Laurelle, our host, cares deeply about the property and wants your stay to be the best it can be.

This house stood out for us on our recent Tassie trip, its location and beauty was memorable...and our welcome was soo inviting...we had the lower room with access to garden and pathways along the river...wish we had had more time!

Stunning and historic venue overlooking the tranquil river

lovely welcome from the owner, however the rooms are quite dated, there is no breakfast as such (was advertised) and some guests smoked on the veranda...

We really enjoyed our stay and found ourselves wishing we were staying more than one night. Laurette was so nice, and the room was really cozy with an amazing view of the river. There were also some nice walking paths a few hundred meters from the hotel.

Wonderful place, lovely people. 10 out of 10. Great books, lots of history. Highly recommended by us and we have travelled a lot. Best place we have ever stayed in.

Unfortunately this was not as advertised so we asked for a refund. The owner was lovely and very apologetic.

Lovely heritage listed and beautifully restored Georgian manor, with well appointed and very comfortable rooms. Great location on the River Derwent, within walking distance to the town centre.

The hotel was very comfortable and relaxing. The staff made a lot of nice personal touches to improve the quality of our stay. Photos make it look like it is more rural than it is, it is situated in a small suburb next to an intersection and a bridge. Overall the place was lovely and nice and I would stay here again.

Great place in a small town near Hobart. It's a gateway to the only road into the SW quadrant of the state and into the Southwestern NP/Tasmanian Wilderness/Fraser-Gordon NP. Food is sensational, and Tim is fantastic as is Mandy. Found it on hotels.com, and it turned out to be one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Most charming property, gorgeous outlook, impeccable service and facilities. Can't wait to return.

We stayed in a couple of 5-star hotels in Tasmania, but none of them can compare with Woodbridge on the Derwent in terms of surroundings, food, services, etc. Here we got 6-star personalized service, and their food is as good as those 3 starred Michelin restaurants, yet the price is extremely reasonable! We felt like being at home, so comfortable and relaxed.

Will stay again for sure ,our home away from home,guest lounge and sitting areas beautifully decorated
