My last night at the hotel, cars were broken into

We love this property. Always our go to when in Baton Rouge!!

I spent several days looking at hotels in the Baton Rouge area and their ratings because I’d never been before. We chose the Renaissance Hotel because of the ratings. The hotel was clean, guest services were nice, and the restaurant staff were fantastic. I thought I’d read that the hotel had a free buffet breakfast. They do not. They have breakfast buffet for 14.99. It was a typical breakfast. Parking was free but the lot was crowded. The pool was very small. No complimentary water in your room. Everything extra was for a price.

The room was adequate in size. Most everything was clean but grout around the shower. The showerhead had poor water pressure. The bed was comfortable. I enjoyed the down pillows but my husband did not (we have different preferences). The elevators were fast. There is a huge plant blocking half the space to get to the elevators especially when others are congregating there while chatting. I saw many people move the plants leaves out of the way to avoid getting hit in the face. The staff were friendly. It would be a huge perk if you didn’t charge for internet. Even while being a bonvoy member, my room wanted to prompt me to pay and I feel we are paying more than enough in room charges to cover Internet usage.

We arrived 1 hr after check in and was told our room was not ready. We were then given a suite which had a king bed and sofa bed for 4 people. The sofa bed was dirty and could feel every spring. Went to the front desk and that was all they had available. Originally booked 2 queen beds. It took a while for a manager to arrive and approve of our cancellation. For the price they was going to charge it was not worth it. They also was going to charge me more than I originally was told to pay bc they put me in a suite bc it was all they had. Never again.

The check in process was pathetic. I had reserved 3 rooms under 2 reservations and the clerk argued that I only had 2 rooms. I had to go on-line, from my phone to show her the reservation. Only then did she do a deep search to find the other room. As a result our room registrations were all wrong on none of us were in the room with the correct name. This is totally unacceptable.

The property was in a great location and easy access to the highway. Also plenty of parking. The room and the bed was comfortable but my bedsheets had makeup stains on them and the desk didn't appear to have been whipped down.

Great location and close to many popular restaurants. Quiet area. Beautiful hotel.

Everything at this property was and has always been nice. I just wished that there had been a microwave in our room.

It was amazing and I love how you can use the shuttle to go anywhere up to 3 miles amazing and everything you need is so close to the hotel

This is a beautiful hotel! The rooms are nice, beds are comfy and it was quiet. Even the decor in the lobby was very nice.

Everything was lovely and the check in was quick and simple.

Place was great, close to shopping, food and the interstate.

My stay was fine. Nothing amiss and nothing special either
