Knap House is a real gem. The rooms are fantastic, nicely furnished and very comfortable. Alan is very Accommodating, a perfect host, just the place after a long day to relax and unwind.

Easy check in! Very clean! Excellent bed and bathroom! Breakfast was delivered to our door, The food was excellent! Will say you need to be comfortable with stairs! There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance. Parking is free along the waterfront. All rooms have great views of the port!!

When we arrived we were told that they do Not take children and I had an 8 year old daughter

Great property and effortless check in. Warm and comfortable. Location puts it near the road to Campbelltown and the Kennacraig ferry, but it wasn't too intrusive.

An unusual B&B. Very little personal contact with the owners. No one to welcome us and we were let in on ringing the bell. No dining/breakfast room and breakfast was ordered via leaving a form and then delivered to the bedroom at the time requested. The breakfast was fine though and the hotel clean and comfortable. It was just rather odd and reminded us of going to a hotel at eh height of the Covid pandemic.

Loved every bit of this spot and would rerun without question.

The Knap House is a clean and convenient little hotel in Tarbert which is a great place to stay if visiting the Isle of Islay & its distilleries. Its not fancy but has all the amenities. Having a refrigerator is a nice touch. Be ready to climb the stairs; most rooms are on the 3rd floor. The included breakfast was good.

What a cute suite! Right on the corner, we could see the bay and people watch. There is a corner store across the street and a great deli/takeaway downstairs. This was just what we needed after a long day in the car. We were lucky with the weather but I think it would be lovely no matter when you visit.

A convenient overnight stay for catching the ferry to Islay.

Great place to stay. Spotless, comfortable well appointed. Kitchen had supplies of tea, coffee, milk etc and again, was very clean.

The first impression was the view. It was absolutely beautiful. The room was nice, comfortable, and a good size. The proprietor was friendly and helpful.

Loved our corner room overlooking the harbour. Very comfortable. Breakfast was a pre order which resulted in hot food coming at the same time as the cold!!!! So not ideal but that aside a lovely small niche setup

Lovely place full of character .Everything you would need including fridge and fresh milk.Owner very friendly and welcoming perfect location right on harbour.Great communication v easy check in.

Great wee guest house. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Good view from the window and not disturbed by any noises. Would for sure stay again.

Very accommodating and helpful. Clean modern bathroom and great view of the harbor. Definitely will consider staying there again.

Trevligt boende mitt i Tarbert, som är en mysig liten stad vid havet. Fin utsikt mot vattnet. Flera restauranger på gatan, rekommenderar Starfish. En liten Coopbutik ligger nära. Lite trångt rum, men fungerar för övernattning. En aning störning från biltrafik på gatan utanför, hotellet ligger vid en liten korsning. Trappor upp till rummen. Intressant inredning i trapphuset. Perfekt läge för att ta Calmacfärjan från Kennacraig, som ligger 10 minuter bort med bil.

Bra boende nära färjan till Islay. Vi behövde lämna kl 6 på morgonen men vi fick inte med oss någon frukost, vilket vi tyckte var en trist servicenivå.

Super friendly and accommodating people running this place - lovely breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms and central location (was perfect for the wedding I was attending at the church!).

Muito bem localizada a 9km do Porto do ferry para Islay. Quarto pequeno, mas correto. Café da manhã com suco, pão, bacon, salsicha, cereais, café ou chá e leite, geleia, manteiga e mel, sem frutas. Não tem elevador e o teto é baixo no 3o andar (cuidado com a cabeça). Atendimento totalmente remoto, mas funciona.
