The hotel, room, staff, and breakfast on the terrace were all delightful. We really enjoyed our stay. It was a great location/home base to walk to everywhere in old San Juan. I was frustrated/disappointed to learn that the rooftop pool was under construction and unavailable when we arrived. We also had to go to the front desk every time we wanted to change the AC temperature in the room. The room was dark and we were unable to open the window shutters because they are a historic part of the building and not allowed to be moved/opened. An extremely charming room, but also dim. Overall a great experience. The breakfast view and food were amazing. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in old San Juan.

Location was great

The location was very good. Close to the fort, shopping, and restaurants. We loved Ikd San Juan

Located in Center of Old San Juan. Walking distance to all entertainment spots.

The property was poorly maintained the worst experience, not clean, pool was not open, no blankets, no towels no soap, no remote control for the air condition etc. The doors for the room did not lock properly and the windows did not closed or locked correctly. This hotel should not be allowed to be open to the public.

I was so looking forward to this stay. It was quite expensive and I even paid extra for a balcony room. The staff was helpful enough but, the balcony (3rd floor) was not worth it. the balcony was so narrow you could not put a chair out on it. The room was very noisy. Through 3am each night, there was "partying" outside with music, laughter, loud talking. It was endless; an extremely noisy location. Stay somewhere else. The pool was out of commission. We had no notice the pool was unavailable the 4 nights we were there.

Unfortunately the pool was closed (which was sadly the reason we chose this hotel) the location was great though. There is no coffee maker in the room which was also a bummer for us, they could make an espresso at the front desk area. The hotel is very open and people come in and walk through a lot, we checked in early and they held out stuff which really meant just putting it in a room that no one watched and people could have come in and gone through it taken it, that was a little weird. Beds and pillows not good but the hotel was super cute and rustic so we did enjoy

Historic property so everything isn’t new looking, but beautiful place. The bathrooms had some rusting and residue, I will say I did not like that the little blind to my room was open so anyone could see straight into my room of walking by

Wonderful location, beautiful hotel & restaurant. However, if you are seeing the primary photo & think you can use the pool, you are wrong. There should have been a disclaimer stating the pool was out of service & will be for quite some time. Instead, we got there to a sign that read the pool was undergoing "cleaning" - yet there was a whole ass renovation being done! And yet the guy at the desk told us he thought the pool was potentially going to be done in time for one of the days we would be staying. Sorry but anyone with eyes could tell the pool was FAR from being done & was under a total renovation. I do not appreciate the BS this place spewed to us & the misrepresentation of the property. We paid a lot of money for a location that did NOT meet our expectations.

The staff was amazing. We arrived close to 7pm and experienced a huge issue with Hotels.com where payment was blocked. The young lady at the desk worked tirelessly to get the issue resolved

Perfect location! Unique rooms, totally authentic feel. Great restaurants and bars around. Friendly and helpful staff. Can’t wait to go back!

Clean, nice staff, nice roof deck

Great location, half of the staff was very friendly (Brian the bartender, the cook, one of the front desk girls upon check in, the cleaning crew). Unfortunately the pool was closed and we were not notified...they are making improvments, possible adding an awning, which resulted in a lot of banging all day. I think it will be a perfect stay once the pool is open again.
