Een historisch gebouw dat prachtig is opgeknapt en van alle gemakken voorzien. Hele mooie kamer met uitzicht over een grootverdiener waar we reetjes en een vos hebben gezien. Heerlijk gegeten in het restaurant en het ontbijt basic en prima.

Found the bed a bit lumpy. Possible as it could be divided into 2 twin beds. Otherwise I loved my room, the property and the garden were beautiful.

More at the "motel" end of things than a proper hotel, but a decent enough place to stay despite that. You will NOT be staying in the house shown in the picture, but in the motel complex at the back. Continental breakfast is good value. We didn't eat there (other than breakfast) so can't comment on the food.

Good location, friendly staff, good evening & breakfast meals. Old world environment.

It was expensive for the room we were in which was a ground floor annex alongside the main building. There was no cooked breakfast provision and the restaurant looked like a canteen. Very nice hotel building and grounds.

Lovely hotel for a 2 night stopover The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, we had a problem with the hot water but they were straight on it to resolve the issue and even offered us a different room to shower in. We did not have breakfast so unable to comment, however our evening meal was excellent especially the fresh homemade pizza with goats cheese and caramelised onion and wild garlic from their garden. The gardens were lovely to have a little walk around Would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend

Lovely place! Very quiet and perfect place to switch off.

This hotel is a hidden gem. This was our second stay at this property and it was just as good as our first stay almost 2 years ago. Unfortunately, we stayed on a Sunday night so it was very quiet but that didn't spoil anything. We stayed in a superior double room, which was lovely, very spacious, and very reasonably priced. Dinner was extremely good and also reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The hotel was nice and clean but clearly being run on a shoestring. The person on reception, was also the one behind the bar, also taking food orders and then delivering the food. The heating in the room went off early evening, which then made the room chill down very quickly; this did make me smile, I thought another cost saving!! Sadly there was no cooked breakfast in the morning because they did not want to pay for a chef and then no one on reception at checkout as they only manned it after 10am. The pluses were the staff I did speak to were good, the room was clean and comfortable and the views were lovely. So not all negative, hence 3 stars.

Room was big and spacious, staff were very friendly

We stayed for 1 night in a premium room. First the best point, the bed was just perfect for us, 6ft wide and super comfy. However, overall the room had a number of annoying niggles: regarding safety and security, the room door wouldn’t close properly without significant effort and noise - not good at any time but particularly inconvenient late at night, the bath had no grab handles to make it safe to enter and exit the bath and using the bath was made more risky by the bath mat being too small - if you had it at the back of the bath to aid entry and exit it was not close enough to the shower head when you were showering and vice-versa. Additionally, the bath surround was particularly worn, the sofa was too grubby to use and there was a broken towel hook on the back of the bathroom door. I can’t help feeling that some of these things could be easily fixed and at moderate cost and that if addressed the overall offering would be significantly enhanced. A shame really as it’s a lovely place and well located for numerous local visits and trips. Maybe we were just unlucky on the room.

Friendly staff, heating system is old as expected which causes extremes of hot and cold in both heating and water. Staff kindly lent a heater when the heating system was not working. Very beautiful hotel.

This is a lovely old building. The rooms are very comfortable and the bed is superb for a good nights sleep. Set just outside town, a short taxi ride in and out, it was very quiet and ample safe parking. The Dinner was very good (Belly pork) and you must try the garlic and cheese bread, it is huge like a pizza and far more than we expected. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they made our stay a memorable one. Thank you very much. I would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Great location near Bath and within a few miles of Bradford on Avon.

Friendly staff and lovely rooms

An excellent hotel in the country, in a very attractive Georgian (I believe) building. We thoroughly enjoyed our night there.

Love the charm of the characterful hotel. Our room was spacious and clean and well maintained.
