Charming Inn. Smallish but quite nice rooms. Nice pub. Great peoples. Thumbs Up!

Everything was wonderful EXCEPT no air conditioning so the whole hotel felt like a sauna (we were there during a heat wave in May) and they didn’t do table service for dinner so we had to order our food and drinks from the bar, which isn’t the end of the world but knocks a star off the rating. Room was super cute, well decorated, the bathroom was really nice, loved the shower and it was very clean. We were able to walk to Highclere Castle from the hotel (20 minute walk) which was great because taxis are very expensive.

Friendly and comfy hotel. Breakfast was great. Very convenient for our next day visit to Highclere Castle.

Breakfast was very good, with excellent quality food. In fact, the food is very good throughout. Stowage for clothes in your bedroom is limited but still a great place to stay.

The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel extremely welcome from the moment we walked in the door. The pub area was attractive and inviting and the food offerings for dinner and breakfast were excellent. Our rooms were cozy yet luxurious with several thoughtful amenities included. Even though we were in close proximity to Highclere Castle, we elected to take a taxi over there for the tour we booked and back due to fast moving traffic on the nearby roads. We will definitely stay here again when next traveling in the area.

We loved our stay at this inn. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a great breakfast in the morning, and we were very close to Highclere Castle. Definitely recommend The Carnarvan Arms.

The Hotel and staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. My wife had recently suffered a broken leg, which necessitated a room change to a dog friendly ground floor room. Food was plentiful and nice. The location although just outside off the A34 was quiet enough. WiFi was great and the pub/hotel itself was very dog friendly. We would definitely stay again if we’re ever down that way again

Comfortable clean and amazing staff

The room was spotless and all staff that we encountered were helpful and friendly.

Very good. Room temp was very hard to control and room prep needed better attention to detail. Staffing very good apart from one person - we returned from a dinner around 10pm, she was clearing up behind the bar and it was very clear when we asked for nightcaps she wasn’t exactly enthused! Shame as other staff super friendly. Overall, would definitely recommend and return

Lovely rooms geat value for money. Food was lovely. Bar staff could have been better, didnt have any prosecco in fridge and didbt seem to want to use initiative to solve the issue with ice bucket and ice also told us we could finish our drinks outside at end of night - weird.

Great Hotel for a night stay over, nothing fancy, bed, shower up and out the next day. Found the drinks a little expensive

Great breakfast buffet. The only issue was the tile period over which the breakfast would be served. It was not a fixed time slot.

Nice but rooms very hot no aircon and we had no remote for the television my husband had to go to the bar and ask then we waited for the housekeeper to bring felt this should have been checked when finishing cleaning and setting up room for the next guest s
