We had a wonderful stay at this resort! It is very family-friendly and perfect for travelers with children. The pool is absolutely huge and one of the best features of the property—clean, beautiful, and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The facilities were well maintained, and the atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. Our family had a fantastic time.

I would only ever stay here if you have a loved one in the hospital across the street as it’s the closest accommodation to the hospital. Otherwise stay far away from this hotel. It’s gross, a heaven for cheap European tourists with kids. Lots of kids screaming and shouting. Extremely uncomfortable bed. The hospital bed across the road was more comfortable. The location is terrible, the town is very low market, you’re lucky if you can get a good meal at McDonald’s.

Un quattro stelle imponente, che probabilmente con poco sforzo potrebbe diventare un cinque. Le camere sono ampissime a partire dalle standard (la nostra), con terrazzo sempre extra size, colazione e cena a buffet decisamente di qualita’ elevata e vari (specialmente la cena), apprezzato il fatto che il buffet e’ comunque sempre bibite incluse. La piscina e’ adeguata, imponente la hall, il personale valido e amichevole, l’organizzazione al ristorante ottima. E’ un melting pot internazionale, in un ambiente elegante e informale nel medesimo tempo, posizionato nella zona di Alvor che a mio giudizio e’ la migliore per una vacanza in Algarve. Posizione dunque perfetta, nel contempo vicina alle spiagge (collegate anche con una navetta gratuita) e sufficientemente isolata per garantire la tranquillita’. Per noi una struttura oltre le aspettative. Peccato per alcuni extra a pagamento come la piscina coperta, ma andandoci in questo periodo non abbiamo avvertito il problema.

O hotel superou as expectativas: novo, muito limpo, funcionários ágeis e atenciosos, quartos espaçosos e amplos com cama e sofá e restaurantes com comida muito saborosa e variada. O vinho é da Casa Ermelinda que particularmente gosto imenso. As atividades são interessantes e a piscina e bem grande e apropriada para todos. Os únicos pontos negativos: além do SPA que normalmente é pago, o ginásio é pago a parte também (nunca vi cobrarem, nem em hotel, nem em cruzeiros), as máquinas de arcade são pagas e os snacks são simples e não pode comer fora do snack bar que fica no andar subsolo.

Overall, a very nice hotel! Large, clean, with a really good breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet—lots to choose from, plus a separate section just for kids (set a bit lower so they could serve themselves, which was appreciated). We rented a classic suite with a land view, so we overlooked the parking lot and the hospital, but also had a slight glimpse of the sea. The room was spacious, with a fridge, a small freezer, some plates, cutlery, etc. There was a bathtub, one double bed, and two single beds. We were 2 adults and 2 children. Large balcony with afternoon sun. They have a shuttle bus that runs regularly to the beach and takes about 5 minutes. Also a very large playground that the children really enjoyed. It was located close to the pool, so you had a good view of both the playground and the pool. Some downsides were that you had to pay extra for the gym. The kids could only get ice cream between 4:00–5:30 PM (other all-inclusive hotels we’ve stayed at had it available both in the morning and afternoon, which the kids really appreciated). The pool was extremely cold, and the indoor pool had an age limit of 16+. We visited Lagos old town, which had a lot to offer, as well as Portimão’s pedestrian street and beachfront promenade

The room is clean and tidy, the staff is polite and attentive, and there are many food choices including seafood and suitable families. However, the decoration is not modern enough and the playing facilities are not enough.

Allt helt topp notch utom gymmet, det gjorde inte så mycket dock för att det fanns så mycket annat att göra!

Everyone in the hotel were great except the only girl bartender, she acted entitled and made me feel uncomfortable she stated that I had to adapt to her country and made it clear to me.

Quinzaine très appréciés dans cet hotel très étendu sur seulement 6 niveaux. Modernité tranquille avec un personnel très a l écoute. Resto varié international avec qqs spécialités portugaises. Chambre appart équipée et face au soleil couchant comme demandé dans le mail de réservation... Sommes ravis de notre séjour sur "Alvor Baia"

Great people, hated the girl bartender very arrogant and racist can’t believe she’s still working there. If she’s still there next time I will complain to the owner. Uire is wonderful and Jose excellent.

Grosszüge Zimmer und super Frühstück.

Es war zu laut in dem Hotel. Von der Rezeption und der Empfangshalle der Krach schallt durchs ganze Haus. Am Wochenende, sprich am Freitag und Samstag wurde bis in die Nacht rein gefeiert, so dass man nicht schlafen konnte.. Ich werde dieses Hotel nicht mehr buchen.

An excellent 4 star resort. Quite a few children but no problems. The dining room can be busy and noisy. Fred had us laughing from the moment we started checking in. I look forward to returning.

Wir können uns absolut nicht beklagen. Die Zimmer waren sehr groß und sehr sauber. Das Essen war im Rahmen einer Halbpension reichhaltig, abwechslungsreich und sehr schmackhaft. Wer die Entfernung zum Strand von nur 1,5km bemängelt, sollte auch dazuschreiben, dass ein hoteleigener Bus von 09-18 Uhr annähernd stündlich zwischen Hotel und Strand pendelt. Es gibt einen riesigen Pool. Zusätzlich gibt es auch einen kleineren Pool für Kleinkinder. Animation und Abendprogramm haben wir nicht genutzt und möchten und deshalb kein Urteil erlauben. Einziger Wermutstropfen ... Es war verboten, Freunden das Hotel und das Zimmer zu zeigen. Unsere Freunde wurden durch den Sicherheitsdienst wieder vom Gelände geführt. Die Situation hat uns etwas verwirrt, da wir so etwas auf all unseren Reisen noch nie erlebt hatten.
