Excellent location. Close to many key places. Great central location for our visit. Clean and spacious room. Staff was very friendly.

Front desk employees were not engaging and pompous. We were both given ada rooms which were bland and had no closets. As it was for only one night, we chose not to complain. But I would never stay there again.

Good overall, but vacuuming the entire lobby, seating areas at 10.00 while some people are trying to relax before to travel. Not the best of ideas for me.

Trevligt intryck, fin lobby, trevlig personal, rena rum. Bra läge, och prisvärt. Frukost bra också. Några rum har sparsamt med möjlighet att hänga upp kläder. Jag tycker det är ett bra hotell.

This hotel was great. The staff was very friendly (front desk and housekeeping), our room was nice and clean, and we really enjoyed staying here. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Edinburgh, Motel One is great!

Wonderful staff! Clean rooms, across the street from the Christmas market. Couldn’t ask for more.

Great location but very average room with spewing marks up the wall by the bed which was slightly off putting.

Room comfort was poor. The room was too hot all night with no air movement, and the wall controller did not make any difference. Reception said the hotel controls temperature centrally, so guests have limited or no control in their rooms. If so, why is there a control unit on the wall if it does nothing? Guests should have a clear, working way to control temperature, or at least get proper air movement overnight. No practical solution was offered on the night, so sleep was disrupted. Location is good, but basic comfort needs sorting.

The hotel is ideally situation to be central base for a weekend exploring Edinburgh. In every direction is an attraction or site to see and just minutes from the train station. The room was a lovely big size with a speaking bed. Also nice spacious bathroom. Our room was perfectly clean and tended to daily. One thing missing was a proper wardrobe, the room just had 2 small rails big enough for a couple of items. It was a shame there wasn’t one because there is definitely space in the room for one. It’s not the first time we’ve stayed in a Motel One and we will most likely stay in this chain again.

Location, location, location! nice hotel we had a great view of the Christmas Market. Perfect location for walking and public transportation nearby!
