The hotel was conveniently located near the medical center

Physically, the place is dated and needs an update to justify the high price they charge. Way overpriced and offered nothing but a room. No breakfast, no water, just a high price for an overnight stay.

Decent enough. Nice staff for the most part. Non-smoking room smelled like smoke and not particularly impressive. Ok for one night.

I would definitely stay at the Hilton Garden Inn when visiting Duke University! The staff was kind, our room was upgraded to a suite, breakfast was yummy and there were dining places nearby. We were happily surprised that they offered free shuttle within a 5 mile radius and we did not bring a car!
