Stayed here for one night for an event at the open air theatre. The location is ideal for both the South Bay and the open air theatre, which is about a 10-15 minute walk away. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the manager Jonathan couldn't do enough for us. Our room and the communal areas where spotlessly clean. The room was a little on the small side and probably didn't need as much furniture, but other than that we had no complaints. Would definitely use the Albemarle again if visiting Scarborough

Jonathan is an excellent host! He made us feel welcome from the time we arrived until the time we left. Nothing was too big or small for him, and we had a nice, if not short, visit. The room was spacious and clean. Very central to the shops, the beach and the concert venue. Would it hesitate to stay again if our travels take us back to Scarborough!

Lovely Victorian property with original features in a crescent of similar properties around a gated green area and close to a beautiful church. Parking outside (payable). Family-friendly, good value and location, close to restaurants and beach, twenty minute walk to the Scarborough open air theatre. Comfy bed with plenty of tea/coffee, milk and fridge. Jonathan greeted us very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Would definitely return.

Great location for all areas of Scarborough. If you want a no frills place to stay with on street parking costing just £8 for 24 hours this place fits the bill. Jonathan greeted us and couldn’t have been more helpful. Yes rooms are not 4 or 5 star luxury but are clean, comfortable and well appointed (great for our stay to attend a concert at the open air theatre) 15 minutes away. Tea/coffee making facilities and complementary biscuits. Value for money and the other guests we met were all polite and sociable. The only downside for us was that we had trouble getting to sleep due to the sound of the seagulls who appeared to be very loud compared to other accommodation we have stayed in (think they were trying to compete with the artists appearing on stage😂😂and certainly nothing to do with the accommodation). All in all if we attend another concert in Scarborough we would consider staying here again

Hotel was located well for our needs. Room was good and adequate for one night. Check in simple. Parking very good. Jonathan was extremely helpful and welcoming. Nothing was a bother for him. Would recommend.

Johnathan the manager was so accomadating and made us feel really welcome. Our room had a four poster bed and a single bed. The little fridge was a god send! The tea and coffee was good quality too. There were lots of quirky features in the hallway. Its a short walk from the station and not too far from Scarborough Open Air Theatre. We are looking forward to staying again!

Jonathan was very welcoming and helpful. Parking straight forward.Clean n comfortable bed .Our one night stay was just what we like easy no fuss .Attended Teddy Swims at open air theatre 15 minute walk with a nice stop off at the Albert pub for a drink before and after show .

We were given a parking permit to puchase once we stopped outside to ask about parking which was fine, the room was wonderful and the staff were very helpful at all time, will def sty again if in the area.

Out of all the hotels I’ve stayed in at Scarborough this was the best. Johnathon, the manager was very helpful, polite and welcoming. He lives on site and informed us we can ring him 24/7 if we needed anything. Checkout time states 10am but he said don’t worry if you leave a bit later. I will be staying here next time we go to a concert in Scarborough.

Lovely clean room parking we had to pay £8 per day we stayed 1 night should have been 2 but had to head home 2nd morning due to personal reasons but had we stsyed our 2nd day we could move around to the back of the property for free Jonathan what a perfect host he helped with our luggage gave us all the info we needed and his phone number to contact if needed whatever the hour you don't get brekkie at this property but Wetherspoons just around corner if you want brekkie great location close to town centre and only a mile or two from Scarbourough Open air which is why we booked there are room either no en suite so check on booking a negative that the hotel couldn't help with was the noise of seagulls non stop and very loud but that s the councils fault need to curtail the breeding so I advise ear plugs oh n our room had a blind and curtains but both light coloured so in summer when mornings are bright may be dark curtains would be better friends didn't so had to use sleep mask they went and bought just a thought to change to dark curtains in all rooms but honestly worth every penny will stay again Amanda Adams

Room was very clean with a fresh smell Bedding was also very clean and fresh Beds were very comfortable Tea and coffee facilities provided Shower /wc was very clean Staff were very professional and helpful There is parking nearby and you can get a 24 hour ticket from the hotel for £8 We really enjoyed our visit to Scarborough and would definitely stay in room 2 again

Excellent customer service Greeted at reception and shown to our room , Jonathan went above and beyond to help when I had realised I had locked my room key in our room at 11.30 pm ! Rooms exactly as advertised
