Had a wonderful time, staff very friendly, helpfull . Bed was very very comfortable, lovely pub downstairs, near to everything you need to see in Chester, we will be back , thank you for a wonderful stay

One night stay along with our 15yr old son. All 3 of us stayed in the same room which was very spacious, set out lovely and very clean. We were impressed with the decor and fealt comfortable right from first entering. Yes it could do with a bit of an update but nothing to worry about at all. The management and staff couldn’t be more helpful during our stay right from checking in to having a bite to eat and a few drinks in the bar. Need to say, the meal we had was professionally cooked and therefore couldn’t fault. There was live music playing on the Saturday night which we enjoyed, however we went to bed before the band finished and noise was not an issue as we couldn’t hear it from our room. To sum up, this is a 100% recommended place to stay, excellent venue, people, room, menu and atmosphere. This will be a regular place that we will stay at in the future..... Ps we do lots of city breaks and this hotel (albeit different from your usual chains) was truly amazing.

It was a nice enough room bathroom a bit tired decor very suitable for theme of pub Stairs to rooms very narrow and hard slog getting to the top floor . Didn’t eat in as food was finished when we arrived and not available on the other two days which was disappointing.

Property was as advertised, bathroom could do with update.

The whole team at The Saddle made me feel Like a part of the family. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique experience in Chester. Especially if you’re a music lover 🤘

Lovely place, food and breakfast spot on, nice and central but I believe the rooms could do with a deep clean, perhaps new carpets and new grouting round the shower trays? All in all though love stay and the staff were amazing, a big thank you to will especially, outstanding service

Overall we enjoyed our stay but there was a few issues. Our room was hot and we were unable to open the window. The bed was very creaky. The place could do with repainting in parts. But the staff were very friendly and breakfast was lovely

Everything was excellent the staff could not do enough for us. The breakfast was amazing there was so much choice, enough to feed an army. They accommodated family joining us and then we sat and chatted with extra drinks. It was fab all round would definitely stay again and highly recommend . Had lunch there too and the food was great again with big portions.

The inn has lots of character and the staff were very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good, but could have benefitted from a fruit option. The room was clean but a little tired & bathroom could do with a little bit of bit of upgrading, e.g. grouting around bath, dripping tap & fixtures.

Great location and fantastic friendly helpful staff

Friendly welcome when we arrived. Good sized and clean triple room on the 2nd floor. Live band on Sat night but not too noise intrusive in our room. We weren't advised that this was a live music venue when booking so this place may not suit everyone but we got back to see the last 40 minutes of the last band and had fun. Nice breakfast.

Room was a good size and clean. Main problem we had was there is pretty much no wifi which is not good when you have kids to keep entertained, even the bar area had, at best, sketchy wifi. Staff were very nice and the pub is well situated.

Great stay quality entertainment nice clean rooms quiet rooms considering live bands downstairs overall really happy after a busy day at Chester zoo

We stayed at the saddle inn for one night after a very long fun day at Chester zoo. Great location, parking 2 minutes walk, hotel very basic but was ideal for one night with 2 adults and 3 kids in the family room, accommodated everything we needed for our short stay and the staff were fantastic and friendly.

Great location. Bargain price friendly staff big hot breakfast -what more could you want ?!

Staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly and food is great, but due to other rowdy residents we didn’t get much sleep.
