Just got home from from a family wedding stayed at redwings lodge staff very friendly and extremely helpfully would definitely recommend

We have stayed here a few times because of it's location near to family. It's a no frills lodge; rough around the edges with a very basic breakfast consisting of toast, croissant's and cereal. All of this is acceptable given the price per person per stay. I do however think charging almost the same for a pet as an adult - without breakfast - is extortionate, considering some adults would almost certainly make more mess than a pet. I very much doubt we will be back in future, such a shame given the locality and the convenience of Cody's restaurant and bar on site. A total upgrade, revamp and pet breakfast would be the only reason I would pay that amount of money for my pet again.

The young man on reception was extremely friendly and helpful! Basic hotel, but clean and comfortable. We would stay again.

The room was very shabby, holes in the net curtains, the shower was absolutely awful very ltd breakfast, bread was stale and served in the entrance, if it was £20:00 would be ok

Rooms need modernisation and breakfast facilities were limited

Bath had chips and looked unclean. Bed also.looked unclean and slept on top of the covers . Was to tired to complain.

When Booking was done over a week I specially ask for oats milk which was promised and the early evening of arrival check in the Receptionist said yes there is oats milk but will leave a note to remind next shift staff to provide BUT the morning for breakfast we were told there no Oats milk therefore my wife did not have breakfast ( Cereal as that all was there for breakfast and break to make your own toast. There was NO COOK breakfast, just cereal and bread for toast, which is really deceiving when declared breakfast included, instead should put down cereals and bread for toast only in that way A GOOD IDEA WOULD HAVE DEFINITELY INDICATED WHAT EXPECTED FOR SO CALLED BREAKFAST.Very Very disappointed for that.

Ideal location for our short visit to the area, dog friendly, very nice food at the nearby 'Coteys' restaurant.

The accomodation is refreshing, clean and staff are very friendly! All previous comments are negative and do not reflect present standards of this Motel, Stop Watching TV programme " 4 in a bed". Stayed a full week and never a problem, rooms cleaned daily if requested, top of tea/ coffee daily, breakfast ( light) every morning, however nearby food available 0800- 2100 very high quality!

Woke up through the night cold but found the heating rad, night porter was chatty and professional and all the staff in the morning were friendly too, great value though for the price and would stay again

I enjoyed our family stay at Redwings. This was truly down to the warmth and friendliness of the staff. I could not fault how accommodating they were, particularly as we had an elderly relative with us. They held the door open for us as we arrived, and over our 4 day stay, they kept asking us if we needed anything else in our rooms. The lodge is a little "tired" and could do with a bathroom refurb, as there was no towel shelf or hand rail BUT the water was hot and the showers were good, with fresh towels when needed. The staff smile when you pass them, and it was evident to me that they are a fantastic team and work collaboratively well together.
