Perfectly adequate. Bedroom ready for carpet and refit. Rest of hotel very grand lovely lounge s very clean public areas.

An over night stay. Nice hotel full of history and well looked after. Enjoyed the lunch, dinner and breakfast during our brief stay.. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Certainly not a lavish hotel, just very good in what it does and the market it serves.

Nice old historic hotel. Town Centre location and almost 300 years of history. Comfortable bed, room and convenient. Recommended

We had a very enjoyable stay at The Crown. We only stayed one night as was in the way to a wedding at Gretna Green, would definitely stay there again. We had a new girl on reception (didn’t get her name) that booked us, she was so lovely.

Centrally located, room ok but would have been better with blackout curtains, reception areas very nice, breakfast was good. Make sure that you prebook parking including blue badge parking.

helpful staff, spacious hotel in lovely Harrogate at a reasonable price near to Turkish baths, shops, pubs etc. very happy.

Hotel bedrooms need updating. Window could not be open and no air conditioning. However overall it was a bargain stay and we would stay there again.

The Crown is a traditional creeking hotel with lots of character. Staff were very friendly. The room was spacious but there was no fridge or safe and very few shelves or drawers for storage (although there was a wardrobe with plenty of hanging space). The disappointment was the breakfast. While there was nothing wrong with it (they offered cereal, fruit juice, meat and cheese, fruit, cooked breakfast and croissants/pastries), it all felt very uninspiring. Bread rolls and/or nicer bread would be a start.

Centrally situated, ideal location for a visit to Harrogate. Unfortunately the hitel is old and the need for an update is obvious. The room we received is probably the smallest double room I have ever stayed in, the bathroom was paticularly compact and despite reporting this, there was no cold water to the bath and shower for the durtion of our stay.

Had a great time hubby, myself and our little dog. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The rooms were clean and warm.

Perfect location for local amenities, walking distance to main hub. Hotel appears grand which the entrance and reception area is but the rooms are tired and desperately need updating before it get too past it. 1

Lovely, period hotel. Very roomy, comfortable lounge. Good room, only complaint was the heat - a hot pipe ran through our room, it was sweltering, luckily there was a fan as windows would not open. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Nice cotton towels and crisps cotton bed linen.

Great location for our stay, following my nieces wedding at the Sun Pavilion.

Excellent location for town centre

Staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Had the opportunity to upgrade my room prior to visiting. Food was also very good.
