The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was very good: egg, beans, green peppers with corn kernels & cream, chilaquiles, pancakes, cereal, granola, juice, and coffee. The City Market (La Comer) next to the hotel for grocery, clothing, kitchen utensils, and house decorations, etc

Good location for one night

The included breakfast was very good. A buffet of hot food (eggs, beans, hotcakes). Would have appreciated some fresh fruit, though. Papaya, please. The staff was very helpful and we were so glad it's a 24 hour reception desk, as our flight was delayed and we arrived at 1:30 AM!

I was given a key to an already occupied room, there were ants in my sink, human hair on the sink and bed.

This place was somewhat disappointing. Very old.. shower was lukewarm.. the bathroom window wouldn’t close. Small kitchen but nothing stocked.. no cups. Cutlery dish clothes.. nothing so basically unusable. Did have a Motel6 vibe.. one night was more than enough.

La primera habitación que nos asignaron estaba llena de zancudos y la regadera tenía tierra, estaba sucia, el balcón estaba abierto como si alguien se hubiera metido a esa habitación. Tuvimos que cambiar de habitación a la 1:00 am porque no soportábamos los mosquitos

Hotel Santa Maria is a great budget option for being close to the action but not paying a ton for the privilege. The beach is a 10 minute walk. The brand new Al Comer super market complex is just across the street and has more than you will ever need. There are numerous small restaurants within a three minute walk. The pool is clean spacious and welcoming. Overall a good deal. My only criticism would be that screens on the patio doors would be an improvement and the coffee at the breakfast room needs an upgrade.
