Staff was helpful

This was a mixed bag. On the plus side, the location in the center of the Marais is pretty perfect. The bathroom and my sheets were very clean. Everything else in the building seemed shabby and stained--both walls and carpets. No elevator, btw, and the stairs are steep and slanted. The place simply needs a major (I am sure it would be very expensive) refresh. I felt rescued by this hotel though, as I was there during the recent major heat wave and they have a split duct ac unit in the rooms. That was worth everything. I was grateful to have found my way there. would I stay there again? Probably not but in a pinch, I would not hesitate.

No elevator and the steps and there are quite a few steps to get to our room on the second floor. Difficult with large baggage. The AC could not keep up with the heat outside, granted it was the hottest days in history in Paris. Ok area, but there is a male strip club across the street. It did not bother us but be aware. Our rooms were 40 minutes late to be ready after the 3PM check in time. Walkable to many sights. Just an OK or slightly below OK experience.

Trevlig personal och toppenläge i ett trevligt område. Vi var där under Paris varmaste vecka någonsin, så ac:n kunde inte riktigt klara av att kyla rummet, men det var iaf svalare inne än ute. Bra med kylskåp på rummet så vi hade kallt vatten. Ganska tråkig frukostbuffé.

Just ok. Old and a bit run down

Staff were all great particularly the young lady who greeted and booked us in. Location was excellent. Only two drawbacks were the stairs, our room was on top floor, and the fact we could not watch anything on TV in English. However, if coming to stay in Paris again we would definitely be happy to return.

Las escaleras son un laberinto y están muy chuecas. El cuarto es diminuto y la vista lamentable. Salvo la chica de la mañana que es muy amable, los demás son poco amistosos.

The staff was very nice. The building is worse for wear but the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The air conditioner was dripping water all night, which made the carpet wet. We were on the third floor which meant a big climb up crooked and sloped stairs. Charming but not dangerous But the location can’t be beat! If you are ok with 2 star hotels, you’ll be just fine.

Jeg kommer gerne igen. Nemt at komme til de kulturelle ting vi gerne ville opleve. Rent.. Ro om natten..

I would never stay here again. We had 4 different rooms booked for friends and family all of us experienced something similar. 1. The toilet smells like a public restroom. There was pee on the seat and the smell stinks up the room. 2. The carpet is unclean, I kept socks and shoes on. 3. The window was open when we got in probably to air out the smell from the room but it let insects in. 4. The shower was yellow and dirty and the water didn’t drain so that when you showered you are standing in a puddle. 5. Our blankets had orangish stains on them. 6. I requested another room and was told there was nothing available. We paid $400 for 1 night, we were over charged and underwhelmed. A positive: it’s central and the staff was nice.

A fantastic location, wonderful staff, and clean rooms (with air conditioning and a small refrigerator). Free coffees and teas. The rooms are basic and it is an older hotel, but the price and location more than make up for it. Note there is no lift, so third floor rooms a haul. Staff will help carry up luggage. Will return.

I have stayed here quite frequently. I was disappointed this time because there was a constant smell of cigarettes. I can’t emphasize enough, how helpful the staff are.

We stayed on the 2nd floor of this hotel during an unexpected heat wave. Up 53 steps with no elevator or lift. The room and bath were large and well equipped; nice beds. The hotel offers air conditioning but it is pre-set and we could not make it go lower. The coffee service is 24-hour with lots of choices. We did not eat there but it looked appetizing. The hotel is on a pedestrian street in the Marais with lots of shops and a Metro Station right there. Nice staff at a 24-hour desk.

Dusche leider so niedrig, dass man nicht richtig stehen konnte. Ansonsten nichts besonderes aber gute Lage und wenn man wenig Komfort für einen kurzen Aufenthalt sucht aufjedenfall in Ordnung. Rezeption sehr nett.

We arrived late and the staff would not help us get into our room on the 3rd floor! We walked up and down the long flight of stairs and the key didn’t work. And they were busy attending to other customers. Not good service since we arrived first.

Fint lille sted. Perfekt centralt placeret i byen som udgangspunkt for et kort besøg i Paris. Nemt at komme omkring og med metro næsten foran døren. Meget venligt personale. Vil bestemt benytte dette sted når turen igen går til Paris.

Perfekt läge i ett centralt och lite livat område men ack så tryggt kändes det iaf. Matta i rummet beskriver allt man behöver veta för att förstå nivån renligheten ligger på - vissa fläckar syns i golvet liksom. Men i övrigt var det inget konstigt i städväg. Det hölls rent. Vi älskade fönstren i vårt rum, dem gjorde mycket för att finna god tillvaro på rummet. I övrigt ett litet, pittoreskt hotell med fräsch entré, liten innergård/uteplats för gäster och med en något charmig (om än kanske lite oroväckande) trappa med lite snea steg upp (dock känns det vanligt för många äldre byggnader i Paris så inget jag reagerade allt för mycket på).
