Beautiful location and superb restaurant.

This hotel is located right on the Douro, in a picturesque spot. There's a parking area right outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel claims to be four star; it may have been once but it no longer is. The rooms are spartan. A 20" tv from the 2000s. No amenities whatsoever in the bathroom, which had a broken wall shower and between one and three lights randomly working, depending on I know what. I had to move furniture to find the only single wall outlet close to the bed. There's an attached restaurant, your only choice if you stay here and again, while the staff are pleasant, the food is uninspiring. Breakfast was reasonably good and the views are impressive but the three star property I stayed in the previous night was far far better.

Koldt værelse. Varme på badeværelse fungerede ikke. Ikke 4 stjernet. 2 max. Udsigten redder det. Maden i restaurant middelmådig...også morgenmaden.

Trevligt boende som ligger väldigt vackert vid Dourofloden. Trasig toalett ställde till det för oss den sista natten. Trevlig personal. Bra men slitet rum. God frukost.

What can I say about this hotel it’s set in the beautiful Douro valley on the river front surrounded by the mountains, in Porto Antigo, the staff are very friendly and helpful the bar is well stocked and the food is very good. We would definitely recommend it and will return in the future.

Prachtig hotel met mooi uitzicht. Het ontbijt is goed. Dinner is helaas minder van kwaliteit. Medewerkers zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Staff incredible, location and view stunning

Nice hotel with room facing river. Parking is a challenge at peak times since at marina and narrow driveway; however, ended up with street parking both nights. Restaurant requires reservation. Area to reach hotel is beautiful but be aware rural narrow roads. Overall, nice quiet stay outside city.

The property is beautiful and straddles the Douro River. The roads are not really walkable - narrow, no sidewalks. The breakfast was great. The restaurants lunch and dinner was mediocre. The restaurant did face the beautiful Douro River and had tremendous views. The rooms were nice but not special.

Fínt hótel en stendur ekki undir 4 stjörnum. Léleg, hæg þjónusta á síðdegisbarnum, ekki til stólar við öll borðin úti og ekki hægt að fá allt sem stóð á kokteil listanum. Góð þjónusta við innritun. Góður morgunmatur. Umhverfið frábært en lítil sem engin þjónusta í nágreninu. Útsýnið yndislegt. Skemmtilegur bíltúr til og frá.
