The stay was great, I’ve left one star as we accidentally left our expensive apple laptop charger in the room, we phoned the hotel to see if we could get it back and the staff were very unhelpful, it was definitely left there (which we should have been more observant of when packing and leaving) but when a mistake like that happens you fully expect the staff & cleaners to at least have the decency & trust to keep it aside for a period of time. I feel let down that this has happened. I’m just glad it wasn’t something sentimental like jewellery as I don’t trust it would have been reported or followed up. Shame because the stay outside of this was nice.

The swimming pool is the jewell in this hotel's crown. The rooms are basic but spacious, some with views over the garden areas. The staff are very friendly and always willing to ensure that all guests are happy with their stay. Breakfast is good with a variety of continental and cooked foods available. There is an additional cost for breakfast for those who book on a room only basis. A service charge is also levied for service provided at meal times. The hotel is dog friendly and is ideally situated for walking into Lyndhurst. There is ample free parking with charging points for electric vehicles.

Breakfast service was a little chaotic due to the numbers of residents eating in one sitting, with only 3 members of staff on duty. The selection and quality of food however was very good. The staff are always busy but extremely approachable and will always help if there is an issue. The rooms are clean, a little basic but comfortable. The swimming pool is very good and a huge asset to the hotel. The hotel is ideally suited for walking into the town of Lyndhurst, just a few minutes walk away. Free parking with electric charging points available.

Great hotel close to Poultons park. Lovely little swimming pool that the kids loved. Dog friendly too is a bonus.

Overall, this was a nice place to stay. I had Room 10 and unfortunately there was something dripping outside the window the whole time though, which woke me up a few times in the night. The room decor could do with an update/redecoration. The bathroom too. But it was ok for what I needed. It would have been nice to see a Bar Menu out somewhere to know what food was available. Any staff I encountered were great. Thank you!

Bed Comfy, breakfast very good. Expeller not working in bathroom so room was a bit musty.

I booked this hotel expecting 4-star standards, but the experience was very disappointing. There was no housekeeping throughout my stay - the room was not cleaned, the bins were not emptied, and towels were not replaced. For accommodation advertised as 4*, this is simply unacceptable. Basic facilities were also lacking: the shower had very poor water pressure, and the water was never properly hot, only lukewarm at best. These are essentials you’d expect at any decent accommodation, let alone one rated four stars. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone expecting genuine 4-star comfort and service.

Good except the key cards were a bit of a pain and the bar staff although very nice needed to be better trained. Shower in my second room (12) was very weak and not always very hot.

Good size room with four poster bed and view over the courtyard. Plenty of hanging space. Decent size indoor swimming pool. Changing Rooms very hot, so went back to our room to shower.
