I had a deeply upsetting experience with and feel compelled to warn others about their rigid policies and lack of basic human compassion.
I accidentally booked a 1-night stay for the wrong date. When I called to rectify the mistake, I explained that my husband had just been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). I wasn't looking for a handout; I explicitly offered to book a 2-night stay in place of the single mistaken night so the hotel wouldn't lose any revenue.
Shockingly, management completely refused to waive the cancellation fee for the accidental booking.
It is mind-boggling that a hotel in the "hospitality" industry would choose to penalize a customer going through a medical crisis, especially when I was trying to give them more business.
If you value customer service, empathy, and flexibility when life happens, do not stay here. They have lost a customer for life.
