Lovely stay in the lovely village. All the staff I met were friendly and helpful, particularly pointing out the disk parking out the front of the building

Really nice place, could do with a little update, especially the garden. I would say it’s a little rustic, but we had a lovely night away. Breakfast was good. Staff were lovely.

Parking was a bonus. Lovely old Georgian building. Bed very comfy. Very short walk in to town. Very nice breakfast.

The bedroom wasn’t very clean. Bathroom was in need of a refurb, smelly. Carpet in the bedroom needed cleaning. The breakfast was good and the bar brilliant. The two staff which ran the Buck Inn were okay.

On entry to the property it was shabby and untidy but that was nothing compared to the room we were given. Room 5 is large with both a double and single bed. . Bed linen was clean. One throw over the single bed was stained as was one cushion and the half hanging curtains. There was dust on both the black headboards of the beds. Thick dust on the skirting boards. Bits on the stained carpet. Mould on the wall under the bay window. Dust on the clothes rail. The most enormous hanging cobweb over the double bed!! The toilet was clean but the flooring around the toilet was dirty and the wall above the toilet was badly damaged! I could go on and on!!!

It was good on the whole. The room was clean and the breakfast was delicious. Staff , very welcoming and and service was good as well

Run down attrocious place. Bedroom 0 disgusting. Lots of big stains on carpet. Paint all peeled off bathroom ceiling. 1 window wont open. 1 window has nothing to hold it open. Cobwebs on ceiling and light fitting. Wallpaper peeling above radiator. We left Towels in shower to be changed were taken out and put on radiator which was off. Still wet following morning.. The following day towels again left in shower to be changed were still there when we returned ar 6.00pm. No one had been in the room. Nothing cleaned or replenished. Went and asked for clean towels which we got but the lady said the room had been cleaned. Stayed 3 nights, bins never emptied throughout our stay. Dont normally do reviews but was disgusted with this place.. Only good point was the breakfast..

Lovely place to stay, great people, great breakfast.

We spent on night at the Buck and enjoyed our stay, the staff were lovely and made us feel welcome, we entered the quiz on the Sunday night but didn’t win! The breakfast was good also. We would have liked a small sink in the shower room and a bigger table to make drinks on as the kettle was on the windowsill.

Det som kunne blitt et hyggelig opphold i Richmond, ble en svært negativ opplevelse. da vi ankom, ble vi fortalt hvordan vi skulle parkere da det var lokale parkeringsregler. Dagen etter hadde vi fått parkeringsbot, og vi stilte oss uforstående til det siden vi hadde parkert etter instruksjon av de ansatte. Vi møtte en vertinne som fortalte at vi kunne skylde oss selv siden vi ikke hadde parkert som vi ble fortalt. Poenget var at det hadde vi gjort! Hun fremsto meget arrogant, noe jeg sjelden opplever i UK. Hun fortalte at hun hadde hørt at vi hadde fått en annen beskjed enn vi fikk. Hun påsto hardnakket at jeg snakket usant!! Det var helt og holdent mitt problem, sa hun. Jeg var tydelig på at jeg hadde anledning til å betale boten på £ 25, men jeg mente det var urimelig siden vi parkerte som vi ble fortalt. Jeg skal betale boten, men maken til arrogant vertinne har jeg aldri opplevd i mine 25 år på reise i Yorkshire. Beskyldt for å lyve har jeg faktisk ikke blitt tidligere. Det er helt uaktuelt å komme tilbake hit.

Lovely pub and a great room.

Perfect hosts, friendly greetings on arrival and managed to check in half an hour early. A few tired areas in the Buck Inn which could do with freshening up but appreciate it is an old listed building. However this didn’t dampen our stay. Comfy bed and nice clean linen and towels. A great hearty breakfast in the morning set us up for the day ahead. Would definitely return again.

Don't be put off when you enter the pub, it looks very old and needing lots of upgrades. Then there's the staff, you couldn't have a better reception than here. Our room was spotless and everything that you needed was in and if it wasn't you only had to ask. It was a hot day so we could sit in the beer garden, that too could have benefited from a tidy up but it didn't spoil having a drink or two, The included breakfast was spot on. All in all we had a great stay here and we would go back. We went to the old theatre and would say that if you haven't been inside you are missing a treat.

Fabulous location and stunning views

Really lovely quaint hotel! Staff are amazing and go above and beyond!! Thank you to Laura, Paul and the wonderful chef!! Please note, this is a very old building and doesn’t have all the mod cons of a modern property. Bed linen and towels were lovely and clean. There is tea and coffee in the room and you may request additional items if you need them. Beer garden is amazing with lovely views. There are TVs to watch sport. Not suitable for people with mobility issues as there are stairs up to the rooms. My sister and I had a wonderful 2 night stay. 😀

Goo, fresh English breakfast, absolutely no complaints. Property is generally a little tired and could do with freshening up. Ok for a quick stopover
