Room but no air con

Beautiful hotel, building is old and creaky (you could hear people walking around in the room above)

Very convenient hotel near train station and all amenities in Newcastle

Location was excellent and quiet, unit spacious, bed comfortable and staff helpful. No view from the window. Room temperature was much too hot and no way to adjust. Fans were available, but didn’t help much. Only the very basic of kitchen items were provided. Example: Only 2 forks, knives, spoons provided for 2 people so had to wash between dinner & dessert. No dish soap. No second dish towel available when the coffee maker leaked. Felt the establishment did things as cheaply as possible which reflected poorly on the overall value of the stay.

Noisy extractors outside windows, room very warm so had to open windows.Teapots and coffee pots looked a bit dirty.

we enjoyed the stay overall. The rooms are big (2 bed apartment). Bathrooms were nice. Just a shame that the sofas were grubby and stained - but we were only there for one night, so didn’t use them. Would return again

Lovely hotel

Nice hotel just a bit dated with creaky floorboards in the rooms and very warm without aircon in August.

Limited parking. Had to park in the station parking area.

Property is spacious and centrally located.

Overall nice family time we spend together.

En general el hotel está bien, es de estilo clásico, es un hotel céntrico y las camas son cómodas. Como aspectos negativos decir que el parking del hotel es pequeño y en seguida se quedan sin plazas debiendo dejar el vehículo en el parking exterior de la estación de trenes que hay en frente. En nuestro caso nos encontramos con que la ducha no funcionaba correctamente, por un lado estaba atascado el desagüe, pero sobretodo que el magnetotermico de la ducha estaba estropeado y solo salia agua muy caliente por lo que ducharse fue una odisea.

Staff were friendly enough but didn't offer much help when I was asking about breakfast when I checked in. I was told by the receptionist that I needed to book at the restaurant, and the first person in the restaurant had to ask for someone else. That person told me I didn't need to book but seemed unsure when I asked what time it opened.

The room was ok as a large ish single rather than small double. I wouldn't like to think of two of us in it. It was quite dated but very clean. The bed would have been comfortable if it didn't dip down at the edge making me feel like I was going to fall out. I had to sleep on the side against the wall. The only real complaint was that it was incredibly hot in there even with the fan on all night.

Good bedroom and 2 bathrooms. Plenty of space. Very near to all restaurants and shopping mall and Grainers market. Parking available at the hotel at a first come first serve basis (200 meter further along). Not good: no dining/breakfast table! Old couch. Lamp in bedroom that did not go out. A lot of noise due to traffic until the late evening.
