Large room fun place to stay

Lovely B&B, the hostess is very nice and welcoming, brought us to the B&B itself, explained everything about the place to us. The B&B itself was a large, well-equipped apartment, clean, with everything you need for a few days' stay. The surrounding yard was wonderful, there is an outdoor bath in the yard. In the summer it is great to take a bath in it. A seating area in the grass above a small stream. Barbecue. We loved the place very much!

This was the most amazing place we've stayed in so far in NZ, and one of my favorites in the world. The place was so very clean, had all the nice touches and everything (and more) that we needed. I was sad we were only staying one night. Leanne, the owner, spent alot of time answering all my questions and gave us the perfect plan for the short amount of time we had there. We would have missed Pu Pu Springs if it wasn't for her!! Not to miss! Very nicely located close to the town center. Lots to do here. The garden outside our room was spectacular, and so very private. The room had so many nice little touches. If we ever come back to NZ, we will plan many more nights at The Rocks Chalet. BEST place we've stayed in NZ so far. Thanks Leanne and Lloyd!

Outstanding! This was our favorite stay and the best value over 24 days on the South Island. The unit is really spacious and thoughtfully well stocked. The attention to detail and the care invested in providing a great experience is evident. The outdoor space and tub are a gem, along with the glow worm dell. The owners are very kind and should give lessons on hospitality. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Pro tip - booking on their website is cheaper.

This was an outstanding property. The room was amazing… the kitchen was well stocked and super clean. What made this property extra special was the fact it had a small glow worm cave!!

Awesome motel room. Very large room, kitchenette with everything we needed, beautiful courtyard with lots of seating and gas grill.Very quiet and comfortable. Large shower and large bathroom. Great place to stay for awhile.

A lovely restful and private retreat with the most wonderful of hosts. Highly recommended as a great central base for exploring the glorious Golden Bay.

Unique setting and completely private

A unique property about as close to the Tasman area as you can get. My room was more like a cabin, with its own parking and even an outdoor bathtub and barbeque area. The room was large and comfortable, with a kitchenette and small fridge. There is also a public cooking area and laundry facility. Also nearby, your own private glowworm cave, although I didn't get a chance to check it out. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel easy to find and check-in was easy. You pretty much have to have a car here but this is true of most of the area. I had a great stay, even through I was only there a short time.

Super cabins located amongst the unusual rock formations. Well equipped, spotlessly clean and well maintained. Very helpful staff. Short distance from town centre and short drive to great attractions including the Wainui falls, beautiful coast road and the Grove rock formations.
