Located in prime area, this old motel is in desperate need of an update. I was not expecting five star accommodation, as this was a discount price for Merimbula, but there are a lot of basic improvements that can be made.

It s cheap and very central but , Very rundown,every tap leaks,ants everywhere, all the beds are worn out and it is desperately in need of a makeover. The front of house staff do their best but you would only stay there once.

BED BUGS!!! During our stay in room 13 from 13/03/2026 to 14/03/2026 we discovered what appeared to be bed bugs in the bed early the following morning. My partner woke up with multiple bites &, upon inspecting the bedding & mattress, we noticed many more of the small insects. This was extremely distressing and made it impossible for us to sleep or feel comfortable in the room. This not only ruined our stay here, but also the rest of our trip, and has caused significant inconvenience and concern about bringing the infestation home with us. The marathon task of cleaning a disinfecting our belongings came into contact with that cesspool of a room has not been quick or cheap one. What's makes the issue even worse, is reading a similar complaint made only a couple of weeks earlier (we made the booking over a month ago), i.e management knew about this problem and did nothing! This matter must be resolved immediately for any guests unfortunate to have an upcoming stay. But honestly, avoid at all costs and just book somewhere else. My partner has over 100 bites all over her, that are turning into welts, requiring immediate medical attention and is now on antibiotics. We have raised this issue with the hotel directly and requested a refund days ago and are yet to even hear a response, nothing short of disgraceful. The staff here should be tasked with nothing greater that putting the stickers on apples & the place burnt to the ground. Avoid at all costs.

Check in was not great( not getting the text message). Then I had to help another young couple who hadn’t received their text message. The phone number to ring for help was located on the reception desk which was very difficult see from the window, as the office was locked. Perhaps this could be improved. Overall the room was clean and all we needed. The only staff member we saw was a cleaner who was very pleasant and gave us some vital local information.

Good Location and cheap but very old rooms, shower was going hot then cold and back all shower.

Room badly neglected, surly staff, still waiting for receipt. Would not recommend.

Had a Fabulous stay as a Family of 4 at this motel!! It was clean and the staff were Wonderful making sure we had everything needed

The bathroom floor has hair and dandruff and other bits and bolts. The toilet flush wasn’t working and the wifi was slow and very laggy. Overall it’s not worth the money at all!
