Helpful staff and enjoyed the village atmosphere

We really loved our overnight stay at The Crown and Kitchen in East Linton. Really cute little place with beautiful room. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend this place. There is a train station in East Linton and only takes 20 minutes away so it’s perfect for a wee day or evening out in Edinburgh if you don’t want to stay in the city itself.

It's a nice setting and a quiet environment.

East Linton is a pretty village and the pubs in the centre by the church. There is no carpark, but we were able to park easily on street just round the corner. We stayed in the Gallery room. It’s up a lot of stairs, but really nice. The bathroom is superb, with a big shower and big bath. We had dinner in the pub which was also really good. There’s a good vibe in there, everyone was having a good time. Best to book your table as it was busy. The cooked breakfast was very good, but there is no alternative. So if you prefer a continental breakfast this isn’t an option. No cereal, porridge or fruit juice either. I would recommend this place to anyone. It was excellent value for money.

Shower handle broke, radiator temperature controller broke so room was too hot. Woke by guests staying in another room being abusive with each other that went on for a couple of hour, no staff on site to sort it out but did report these things next morning

Great experience, room was spotlessly clean and bigger than expected. Used the bar downstairs on arrival and the manager was super friendly a credit to the hotel gave me some good local information so stayed in East Linton and did a riverside walk in the morning before heading to St Abbs. Morning breakfast was delicious full scottish and sets you up for the day. A great hotel with great helpful staff. Well worth visiting.

A great find within 15/20 mins of North Berwick. Couldn't fault the room which had huge bathroom with roll top bath and walk in shower. Very comfortable stay. The menu in the pub is not extensive but everything we had was beautifully cooked and presented. The place was buzzing with locals and visitors on both nights we were there. Highly recommended

Lovely little piece pub!

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a lovely and clean room. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The bar is cosy and offers plenty of choice. We felt right at home.

Nice place

Beautiful room, clean and a good shower. Beds are also very good! Tea and coffee on the room and a wonderful restaurant with excellent food.

We enjoyed our brief stay in the quiet village of East Linton. The welcome and food was very good and the room, cosy. However, the room was very hot and lacked an ensuite. We had to venture out across a corridor to a private bathroom; this was not made clear at the booking stage.

Das Zimmer war ganz nett, schönes großes Bad. Könnte aber sauberer sein. Teppich im Zimmer total fleckig und wellig. Komische Fenster, die man kaum auf und zu kriegt. Der Pub war ok, mit typischem Essen. Frühstück war auch ok, aber sehr beschränkte Auswahl. Hatte das Gasthaus im Vorfeld mehrmals über Expedia kontaktiert, Anfrage wurde aber komplett ignoriert. Bei der Ankunft wurde die Anfrage aber prompt erledigt. Alles in einem ok für einen kurzen Aufenthalt, aber auch nichts Besonderes.

Stayed for one night and absolutely loved it! Staff are brilliant, everything you need in the room and it’s clean and specious. Breakfast was fantastic.
