We recently stayed at the Hyatt Place DC/National Mall and had a great overall experience. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the National Mall, museums, and several major attractions like the Smithsonian and the Capitol. It made sightseeing with the family incredibly easy. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with modern decor and a cozy seating area that worked well for relaxing or getting a bit of work done. The beds were very comfortable and the blackout curtains helped ensure a good night's sleep. Breakfast was included and had a decent variety—hot options, fresh fruit, yogurt, and pastries. It can get a bit busy during peak times, but staff kept things replenished and tidy. There’s also a small café/bar in the lobby and a rooftop bar that offers great views of the city (especially beautiful at sunset!). The fitness center was clean and well-equipped, and the rooftop pool is a great bonus, especially in warmer weather. Staff were courteous and helpful throughout our stay, and check-in/check-out was seamless. The only downside was the parking—it's valet-only and a bit pricey, but that's fairly standard for the area. If you're visiting DC and want to be close to everything without breaking the bank, Hyatt Place on the National Mall is a solid choice. I

the pool area was on highway side and loud. Pictures show lounge chairs and umbrellas, none of which were there. dining options within 1/2 mile limited. Staff was helpful and friendly. good free breakfast

We loved this location and this hotel. Front the time we walked in the front desk staff was amazingly kind. friendly and helpful. The location is great to get to things on the National Mall and not too far from a Metro stop. The lobby was big and comfortable with a very nice breakfast every morning. The rooms were very nice and spacious. The rooftop bar was very expensive but that is really the only bad thing we have to say about this hotel.

Clean, friendly staff

Breakfast was good with many options but it closes at 9am! We understand that they also cater to the business class, but there were plenty of families and some of us do not want to set an alarm to make it down to the free breakfast while on vacation! This was a key reason I chose this hotel and we would have appreciated it closing at 10am instead. The rooftop area was nice and all of the staff we encountered, from the valet area to the front desk and rooftop, were friendly and professional. We never had to wait to speak to someone; multiple individuals were always at the front desk ready to help. Service is a priority, which is much appreciated. It would be helpful, however, to have more than TWO washers and dryers for a hotel with 12 floors! I had to wait 30 minutes for a dryer. It was a tiny area that could use more attention, if it is to be considered an amenity. The location is very close to the Museum of the Bible, but is a much longer walk than 8 min. to the National Mall, which is another reason I chose this hotel.

We booked a one night stay to make it to a concert. The bedrooms were nice and spacious and the breakfast was lovely! I appreciated the extra safety precautions such as scanning your room card inside the elevator so that no one could come to your floor unless you are staying there. Would definitely consider staying here again!

Great location. Valet parking was very convenient and the breakfast was awesome. Room with the pull out sofa was great for our family of 4. Very clean and well maintained.

Our stay was good overall and staff was phenomenal! The only dislike were the sheets cus they were very old and not as comfortable.

The entrance is a little hard to spot. Roof top view is good. Bar fare is okay. The bartender was great! Breakfast had nice offerings. The check in and check out staff were top of the line. Very accommodating. Room was very nice and easy to adjust the temperature. Even though we were fairly close to the ice machine it wasn’t too noisy. In general, all staff was very good.

Wonderful Stay! Highly Recommended! We had a great experience at this hotel. The location was perfect, just a short distance from major attractions: about 8 minutes to the National Mall and around 6 minutes to the Air and Space Museum. The nearest metro station was only a 3-minute walk, making it super convenient to get around. The neighborhood was extraordinary: clean, safe, and pleasant to explore. There was even a McDonald’s just 2 minutes away for quick meals. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious and plentiful, served buffet style with a variety of options. Overall, a fantastic stay with everything we needed close by. Would definitely return!

good price and nice facility

Convenient location. Great breakfast. Nice looking pool did not have swimsuit to use however. Nice size room. We had 5 adults only 1 night stay.
