The room was a good size and the bed comfortable. If it hadn't been for noisy and inconsiderate other guests, we would have had a good night's sleep. My only criticism about the room itself

Staff were great and friendly. Hotel location is great if you have kids as they can run around on the large grounds which my boys loved. Hotel room which was a family room was a great size and lots of space. Only down side is that it is dated and does need looking at, the beds were well used and not very comfortable. Small details that could be fixed easily like broken soap dispenser, rip in the curtains and hanging off the rail in a couple of areas.

Best service we have ever received from staff. Every single member of staff we encountered at the hotel was incredibly polite, kind and extremely helpful. Mia at the front desk was particularly helpful & super lovely, as was the restaurant manager. We felt so incredibly welcome and well looked after throughout our stay, despite having some issues with our booking through Expedia. The team swiftly and generously resolved these problems, which frankly, were not even their fault. We ordered takeout for dinner at quite a late hour, and the night shift manager brought us plates and cutlery without us even asking. This is just one of many examples of the good service we received. The hotel grounds and building are absolutely stunning, as was the lunch. Definitely recommend going for a walk through the grounds and the woodland area at the back. The room we stayed in was little dated, particularly the bathroom which was a bit unbecoming but we didn’t mind this for the price. Thank you for making our visit so special.

The place is very nice really enjoy the stay. This is my fourth time staying at this property. I guess because it’s old there’s some things that are not quite up-to-date but on all it’s very good

Room was beautiful, bathroom fully stocked, evening meal was really nice, reasonably priced, breakfast was lovely too, lots of choice. Would recommend for a nice night away

Breakfast was ok. Rooms were ok. But dated but spacious. Mattress wasn't the best but for price was very good. Staff were amazing and grounds were stunning.

Clean room but tired bathroom. I was originally pleased to have a bath but there was no plug. Comfortable bed but this is the second time I have stayed and had to make the bed. The bottom sheet had not been fitted to the bed just put on top of the mattress then covered with the duvet. Sloppy housekeeping.

Extremely polite, helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious and lovely variety at breakfast. Rooms clean and tidy with everything we needed

Really great breakfast

We have stayed here before and were very happy with our room and the surrounding gardens etc. But the hotel was obviously having issues with their TV's and telephones and was extremely busy so our TV didn't work and we didn't have a phone in our room. The staff tried to be helpful but couldn't rectify the situation. But it is a lovely venue and the breakfast was good.

Great stay for our family . Clean rooms good food

My very large room was spotlessly clean and the carpet looked new. I had two good nights sleep. Window had opaque glass and when I opened it there was a small yard but I wasn't there for the view so it wasn't important. I was really pleased it was an 'accessible' room as I recently had a hip replacement so rhe wet room and rails were ideal for me. TV didnt work in room but a complimentary G&T instead was fine. Watched TV in lounge area instead. Staff couldn't be more helpful. especially James who was on reception. when I arrived

All bedroom TV,s not working. Bedroom AC unit in error and not working, (only found this out when it was too late to change) replaced with an electric heater which made the room smell. Musty smell in corridors. Lovely surroundings and pleasant staff though and the restaurant food was great.

Everything was great except for the basic heater but at least it kept me from being cold without it.

Great check in staff comfortable room great location for what we wanted breakfast was a buffet and had an adequate selection did not have dinner so cannot comment would stay here again if in the area
