Établissement en réparation. Mais aucun avis de sécurité pour les escaliers. C'en est dangereux puisqu'il y a une marche supplémentaire au bas de l'escalier, le tout recouvert de carton de même couleur. Cela aurait pris un ligne de couleur rouge pour avertir qu'il a cette marche supplémentaire qui n'est pas de la même dimension que celles dans le restant de l'escalier. Mon épouse et moi sommes tombés à cause de cela. De plus, le stationnement n'est pas pavé, de la boue partout parce que l'on est au printemps. Il n'y a personne au comptoir de service. C'est bruyant puisque l'auberge est à l'angle de deux rues. Je ne recommanderai jamais cette auberge à personne.

Very historic in beautiful local village. Clean and comfortable, but very basic. Convenient to very pleasant bistro and bar on ground floor with good food and very reasonable.

We never saw a staff member. The bed wasn’t real comfortable and the toilet ran But it was quaint and very cosy and clean.

Lovely, quiet place. No luxurious but comfortable. In the heart of Knowlton with shops and restaurants close by and a fabulous bookstore. The only downside for some travelers is the absence of an elevator as the hotel is on the 2nd floor, 1st floor if floor designated in the continental manner, so a flight of stairs.

Everything was wonderful, including lovely dinners downstairs at Le Relais!

Love love Knowlton. It this is a perfect stay. Was able to just walk outside the door and have a wonderful experience on many levels. The people are the jewel. Definitely will return

Room clean, bathroom clean. Atmosphere was fantastic. Love the common room and having coffee with others who are staying.

Recognize this is a very old facility, which absolutely contributes to its charm. The bed was good, I meant to suggest to management (but did not see anyone our departure day) that their tub should have a grab bar for getting in and out as bath mats on tile are slippery. But as an “elder” I take precautions. We were there for the Three Pines “ Louise Penny visit - to see the environs for her stories, imagine the Inspector and his crew settling by the fire at the book store cafe, and so forth. We enjoyed walking downstairs and having our dinner, talking with the staff and lingering in the cozy room. I’d like to suggest a lighting redesign for the fans in the dining room (too bright) but I’m just too detail oriented for my own good.
