Amazing property and location, view from the room was amazing! Unfortunately the walk-in shower had mould and the shower heads were heavily limescaled

This was just a one night stop over for us. Location was good, good value for money. Room was clean and had all we needed. There was a restaurant on site and breakfast was available however we never ate in it.

The restaurant excellent and the restaurant staff were lovely. We had a really great meal! However, the room wasn’t great. It’s quite basic, it could do with a deep clean and some TLC. Bathroom was modern, but again hadn’t been cleaned very well. When we arrived, it was a heatwave and the window had been left closed, making the room extremely hot and musty smelling. The smell seemed to linger for a while. The bed was comfortable enough. There’s a spotlight on the building all night which made it too bright for sleeping. I’d highly recommend the restaurant.

Such a hot day we were pleased to have a fab and portable aircon too. Comfortable bed helpful staff. 29mins walk into Matlock Bath very easy.. Great stay

We walked into our room for my birthday get away to a room that hadn't yet been serviced & fake tan all over the pillows, ugh. When we did finally get in there were lots of cobwebs, floor needed a good hoover. Needed a deep clean. That said the room itself was very big. Beautiful decor, very large bath, but no tissues. We had a curry in their restaurant but it wasn't for me. Husband enjoyed his.

Room was very nice

We'll beyond expectations .Fabulous clean modern rooms. First class bedding and huge soft towels. Perfect position half way between matlock Bath and matlock. Just park and walk. Very scenic. Staff absolutely Amazing. Full English delicious for 12.99 each . Really is a beautiful hotel and at a beautiful position and such a reasonable price. Many thanks for making our stay a very memorable one. Definitely be back and looking forward to dining in you're beautiful indian restaurant xx

Stayed here for one night. Was given the Honeymoon Suite which was amusing. Room was in roof of the hotel and was unbelievably hot, even with velux windows open. Was given 2 fans which didnt give out any airflow even though they were on full speed. Massive bath but nothing to put in it with the water. Room cooled down by about 2am. I'm sorry but breakfast was awful (scrambled egg that was white and sausages that were rubber). Bed was comfortable enough and staff were cheerful and helpful.

The hostess at this property was so helpful and accommodating. It is located in a very beautiful area not too far from town. There is ample parking. Originally, we had a minor issue with our room. I reported it to the hostess. She graciously upgraded our room to a better one at no additional charge. The room we slept in was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Additionally, the hotel has a pretty good Indian restaurant. We had a delicious dinner there.

My stay was ok for one night. Unfortunately as I booked the last room available it was a suite & it was like a loft & there were stairs up to the room & two flights in the room which for me was too much. The staff were very pleasant & my breakfast was good.

Good parking room small and in the eves kept banging head and she is not a tall person .electrics need looking at and TV kept dropping signal .It was very hot but staff gave us a very good fan .Food we had was lovely.but it would help when booking to explain it's all indian.and there is no lift .

Pleasant enough room and very clean. Could have done with a plug socket near to the full length mirror to do my hair. By sheer chance Hubbie had an extension lead in the boot of the car....otherwise I would have been stuck! Also, the table in the room was tiny, and had the hot drinks equipment on it so there was nowhere to put things like keys, make up etc. I would definitely suggest something a bit bigger...the room was plenty big enough. All in all though, we slept fine and a plus was being open to open a window which you can't in many hotels these days.

Good room for good price, easily to walk to matlock from

The hotel is in a lovely location and we selected an upgraded room, with a huge bathtub. The room was lovely, well decorated with a comfortable bed, quality furnishings, deep pile carpet and amazing views. We appreciated the big fluffy towels and tea making facilities. Unfortunately though the cleaners let this hotel down. As soon as we headed up the stairs to our room, I noticed how filthy the carpets were, they looked like they hadn't been hoovered in weeks. I hoped the room was better... Well it wasn't much , our carpet hadn't been hoovered and the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned. The receptionist was very apologetic and showed us another room, but this was actually even more dirty... So she herself had to clean our original room before we could stay in it. But there was still toothpaste on the mirror and shelves were dirty and dusty. This place has been decorated with care and quality but nothing is more important than cleanliness. The management here, need to be monitoring and keeping on top of the cleaning staff before they ruin this hotel completely. It's a shame as you can already see stains on the beautiful carpet but if they were cleaned regularly they would stay nice, same as corners of the showers building up with dirt. I think overall it's a lovely place and would probably stay again.

The staff were very friendly and allowed a slightly early check in for no extra cost. The breakfast was good value and tasty

Great hotel for the Peak District

The room was very warm and small but adequate. Great shower. The property manger was very nice. The food in the restaurant had a diverse and unusual choices and tasted excellent. Overall the building needs some tlc as most walls and doors looked scruffy and marked. The recent restaurant additional looks very nice and smart.

Restaurant was closed in the evening. Breakfast was brought early for me. Better quality ingredients would improve the cooked breakfast.
