Quiet location in busy Thamel

I enjoyed very much while staying in the Sacred Boutique Hotel. It is the best hotel for the family and couples.

Vi bokade ett familjerum på detta fina hotell. Fick två stora rum i anslutning till varandra. Mycket rent med nytt badrum, varmt vatten, tandborstar och duchkräm. Hotellet ligger på en välupplyst gata i hjärtat av Thamel. Mycket tyst och lugnt. Sov som ett barn under de sju nätter vi spenderade här. En underbar frukost serverades på morgonen med gott kaffe, ägg, korv, stekt potatis, toast med smör och sylt. Vi kände oss mycket väl omhändertagna. Taxi fixades och vi fick alltid veta priset vad vi skulle betala innan. Något som var till stor hjälp då det är lätt att betala för mycket. Kände oss mycket välkomna och kommer alldeles säkert att återvända gång på gång. Måste som slutord säga att personalen var mycket vänliga och tillmötesgående och talade bra engelska. Kommer att sakna dom alla. Marie med familj.

Apparently this hotel has changed management, so none of the old reviews actually apply any more. They said they hadn't updated the description yet. I was not how I expected from the reviews. The first room I got was cold and dark, so I was shown another room which looked nicer, until I realised it had not been cleaned after a previous guest, there was rubbish and books left and the bed had not been changed so I went back to the first room but when I noticed how dirty it was and how hard the beds were I actually complained. So I was shown to a 3rd room, which had a soft king bed and felt warmer. It was ok. However, it was quite run down, and needs to be re-decorated. The towels were not clean. I know the hospitality business has had a tough time in Nepal so I feel for them and the guys were really nice and helpful trying to accommodate me. But whoever is their manager, he/she needs to update the description of the place to avoid unrealistic expectations from future guests.

Good location in the heart of city...green garden and good kitchen is at the top of the hotel

Phenomenally helpful service at difficult times. And everything worked well. One very small thing that could be improved was the number and placement of electric sockets in rooms for charging things like mobile phones

Friendly, family run hotel in a great location in Thamel. Great breakfast on the roof terrace. Room is in need of renovation, but that's reflected in the low price. Hot water definitely not 100% reliable!

Central but very quiet position, very friendly, helpful staff. Very clean but as is common in Nepal somethings could be improved e.g. some taps drip and WiFi on 4th floor is poor - other floors are fine. Very good value and will stay again

From the first moment, I was greeted with a warm smile. The whole stay, the entire hotel crew was very helpful, kindhearted and always up for a good joke. It was like coming home. The rooms are clean and I was provided with everything I could possibly need. The tasty breakfast on the rooftop gives an excellent start to the day.

I was referred to the hotel by a close friend who has stayed here before. It was excellent. It’s centrally located, clean and close to everything. The hotel arranged airport pick up. The breakfasts were sensational on the rooftop garden. But the best thing about the hotel are the staff. Giri and the team we’re terrific and went out of their way to help. We love hotel and have no hesitation recommending it.

Lovely hotel down a quiet street in Thamel. The owner and his family + staff were delightful; very helpful in making sure we got around the city OK and helped us plan a few trips. Morning breakfast on the rooftop terrace was great!!! Overall, a wonderful experience staying here! I’ll be back, for sure!!

Personal ist super freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend gewesen. Im Hotel herrscht eine familiäre Atmosphäre, wodurch wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Das Essen im Restaurant auf der schönen Dachterrasse ist super lecker. Leider war das Duschwasser kalt. Das ist jedoch der einzige negative Punkt, den wir anzumerken haben.

Positiv: -Die Lage kann besser nicht sein. Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig in einer Seitenstraße in Thamel - Das Hotel ist geführt von einer zauberhaften Familie -Super Preis-Leistung - Fahrservice stünde zur Verfügung - Tolle Dachterrasse - sehr sauber - Zimmer verfügen teilweise über Balkone Negativ - Die Zimmer, insbesondere die Badezimmer sind etwas abgenutzt, zumindest nach europäischem Verständnis

Friendly, welcoming family run hotel. Situated in centre of everything, close to Garden of Dreams, Thamel restaurants and shops and many other attractions. Clean, rooms serviced daily or as requested. Cooked breakfast. Laundry service. Staff can assist with booking taxis, tours. Plenty of solar hot water on sunny days! Heating/ air conditioning. Lovely wood and marble staircases. A balcony room facing away from street is quiet.

Great service, great location, very helpful front desk, particularly Navinji. Will be back.

This is a basic but clean property in Kathmandu located on a quiet street in Jayatha (area just soth of Thamel). It’s located easy walking distance to all the Thamel sights and the Garden of Dreams as well as many good restaurants. The rooftop breakfast was great. Staff is attentive and eager to help however they can.

Warm welcome, especially from the owner's family. Room spacious and clean with excellent shower. Some external noise, but not exceptional for a city centre Nice rooftop sitting area with catering available. Excellent local restaurants, with masses of "to do's" within walking distance. Well worth a try.
