On arrival greeted by a friendly receptionist. Went to room. All looked clean and well presented. Unpacked and found 3 seperate holes in the bedding that looked to be ciggarette holes. 1 in each duvet cover and 1 in a pillowcase. Went to the bar to meet friends. 1 drink bottled cider given straight away the other was a basic cocktail that took at least 15 minutes with other peoples drinks being served in between. Bar staff then disappeared leaving people stood waiting for some time. Following morning went into the shower to find part of the hand held section hanging off the wall. For the money spent it was disappointing.

Only stayed for one night but staff were very helpful, rooms comfortable and breakfast good.

For a hotel rated four stars, several aspects of the stay were disappointing. Most rooms do not have fridges, despite there being a clear allocated space for one. This gives the impression that the hotel has either cut corners or overlooked a basic guest need. The spare pillows stored in the cupboard were also concerning, as they had a noticeable odour of sweat. Not everyone is comfortable with soft pillows, and the firmer alternatives provided were not clean. When I enquired about the on-site EV charger, staff were unable to confirm the cost per kWh. It is surprising that a facility would advertise such a service without knowing this basic information. After checking myself, I discovered it costs 79p/kWh for what is only a slow charger, which is unreasonable and ridiculous for a slow charger. Additionally, the in-room television did not provide HD output, which is a small but noticeable shortcoming for a modern hotel. Overall, despite being in a beautiful scenic location, I would personally not be staying here again. For a price of around £100 per night, more is expected. P.S. Don’t look under the bed, especially if you have asthma, it’s not hoovered so full of dust.

For a spa hotel the beds were not good. My double was 2 single mattresses so had a ridge down the middle of the bed. Pillows were small and not good support Breakfast was good and staff very friendly throughout the stay. Would stay again but request a room in the main building not the annex they were better last time I stayed.

Was welcomed by Akash prior to check in to help make my stay more comfortable. While walking in, was greeted well by all the staff members and check in was smooth and comfy. Staff were kind and attentive making a nice presence in the hotel. Breakfast banquet was filling and dinner was full of flavour. The Chicken Thai Green curry and duck dish was amazing. Room was spacious and clean and the views were great! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would love to come back again!

Got back to the hotel about 12-30 am. Several people there were from the same wedding we attended. Most of us were hungry and the barman went above and beyond making us sandwiches till gone 1-15 am. Lovely room and breakfast. Would definately stay there again

Great stay with a comfortable bed!

Great location, bed excellent and shower very good

Unfortunately the garden rooms smell musty and all my clothes afterwards smelled the same. The furnishings are rather tacky and the 'garden' is an area of lawn with some unrelated rather large 'feature' objects on it......a windmill and a horse and cart which i suppose could be a nod to a rural history. We did not eat or use any of the other facilities so am unable to comment further.

Stayed in a Garden room . Clean a tidy . Looked a little tired but comfortable . Safe broken show tray couldn’t drain water away quick enough. water spilled over. Bathroom radiator not working Booked restaurant on first night . Most of the curry menu not available and we were an early seating as well. Went for fish on main menu didn’t have that either. It’s promoted as a spa hotel and as such I assumed hotel guests could use the pool, but found out it was at an additional charge. Looked into the facility and saw it was empty. I think they are missing a trick here. .

The hotel was set in a great location, however, it did look a bit tired and we felt that the staff were rushed of their feet so ordering took a little longer

Only thing that let down the property was a very slow meal service

Bed was comfortable and staff Friendly. A substantial breakfast included. No facilities used as was just an overnight stay for a nearby wedding venue.

Lovely room. Good service from the staff to help with booking in and changing a double to a twin was done efficiently and with no fuss.

A lovely hotel in a lovely quiet spot over looking Frensham Pond. Room huge, with a very comfortable bed and a great shower. Bar area a little subdued and lacked some atmosphere, it could have done with some back ground music. Staff were nice enough but sadly lacked enthusiasm and interaction with their customers. Those working in the bar didn’t acknowledge us when waiting to be served and there was no communication or warm welcome, to the extent we felt a little awkward. Breakfast offer was great with plenty of choice. It was advertised being served until 10am. We arrived at 9.45am and were promptly told by the breakfast staff it finished at 10am and sure enough all food was removed at 10am, so it ended up not being the leisurely Sunday morning breakfast we had hoped for. The reception staff didn’t really want to speak to us either when checking in or out. Hardly two words! In any hotel you want to feel welcomed on arrival and that the staff are there to serve you throughout your stay. On this occasion it sadly didn’t feel like that. Don’t want to sound negative and hope hotel management take my comments constructively.

What a fabulous hotel. So welcoming, such a beautiful calm location. Pod point EV charging as well, simple to use.
