Amazing location, hotel is an old Jail renovated to a modern facility. It was a cool experience to stay here. Place offered breakfast, fika and dinner. Food was delicious. Nothing to complain very satisfied

Our stay was incredible. Our room was beautiful, the staff were really friendly and the perks of free breakfast and dinner was fantastic. Not only that, but it has a great location and right by a tram stop with 10 minutes into town if not quicker. Great stay!

Kaunis hotelli erinomaisella sijainnilla mikäli olet matkustamassa Viking Linella. Matkaa terminaaliin kävellen muutama minuutti. Katajanokka alueena vaikutti todella rauhalliselta. Hotellin paras asia itselleni oli hintaan kuuluva päivällinen. Ei tarvinnut miettiä mihin ravintolaan menee syömään ja ruoka oli todella hyvää. Aamiainen oli runsas ja laadukas. Erinomainen kokonaisuus!

We loved staying at this hotel! We enjoyed the building's quirky history and how the hotel incorporates it into the experience. Meals were fantastic. It was amazing to have breakfast, fika, and dinner included with the stay. That alone made the hotel worth it, but the facilities were excellent as well. Our standard room was spacious enough, and the heated bathroom floors were so nice! Beds were comfortable! We scheduled a private sauna session. Those facilities were nice and clean. It's an easy 10 minute walk to the ferry to Suomenlinna Island, and there is a tram stop at the hotel that is immensely convenient. Staff were all very friendly, helpful, and amazing. We highly recommend!

Fabulous hotel!! Easy access to the tram.

Absolutely fantastic 2 night stay as a family of 4 (Mum, Dad + 2 teens). We arrived after midnight to a warm hotel and friendly welcome. Easy check in and room was large with comfortable beds. The bathroom had complimentary shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, as well as under floor heating!! Breakfast, dinner and "fika" (which is hot drinks and a cake snack 3-5pm) were all included in the room price. Breakfast was a HUGE variety, and dinner is one dish clearly advertised each day. The food was delicious, with dietary requirements labelled well. My daughter had Coeliac and she was able to eat so much as lots was gluten-free, and cross-contamination was catered for. The hotel is a beautifully converted prison, with the history preserved in places. We didn't use the gym or sauna as had a short stay, but would return and factor time for this. The hotel is right next to a stop on the number 4 tram, but we also walked from the central station when we arrived (about 25 mins) and to the market square (10 mins). There is a 24 hour small supermarket a 2 minute walk if you need supplies. We would love to come back to explore more of Finland and would stay here again. Thank you for having us.

I stayed at this hotel for four nights in March 2026. The hotel is very cool, as I'm sure you have read that it's a former prison. The location is not the most central, but it's very easy to walk to downtown, and we found it to be perfectly fine. The tram runs right by the front door, so you can easily use public transportation to the other side of the city if needed. The complimentary breakfast and dinner are absolutely amazing. I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel that has complimentary dinner every night. I didn't use the gym, so can't comment on that. Overall an incredible value. I would be very likely to stay here again the next time I come to Helsinki.
