Amazing service. Everything was top-notch. Beach view is marvelous. This side of Cormandel is not great for swimming though. But a pleasant and peaceful beach walk.

My daughter and I recently stayed here and had a truly wonderful experience. Owners Dale and Margaret are lovely and made every minute special. We arrived after a long day and were immediately treated to wine and cheese and a magnificent sunset right off the back porch. The room was cozy and comfortable and the bathroom was newly updated. Fast wireless for my 20-something was a total bonus! In the AM we cam down to a gourmet breakfast that blew our minds. Cannot say enough good things about Te Puru!

relaxing stay right on the beach. on the less populated side of town. natural beach. we watched birds and enjoyed the yard. proprietors are great, very friendly, offered touring advice and complete breakfast. i could have stayed here for my entire trip. sad to leave. would recommend and come back if it weren't 20+ hours away!

Margaret and Dale were the most incredible hosts, from offering and preparing a phenomenal porterhouse steak dinner accompanied by Dale’s signature cole slaw, opening up the hot tub, to graciously handling my clumsy spilling coffee on the duvet! The provided breakfast is one of the best. A real treat to be able to walk out of your room fora dip in the firth. The setting is stunning. My room had both a firth side deck and private patio. The Netflix was a nice ammenity. All 3 rooms are beautiful, I choose the ground floor room oto avoid hauling a large suitcase upstairs.

Dale and Margaret were the greatest hosts during our stay! The view was astounding (even during a little rain), the facilities were great and after 3 nights we really didn't want to leave. Great location and highly recommend a visit.

Dale and Margaret were brilliant hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Dale even chauffered my wife and I to and from a local restaurant in order that we could enjoy a couple of drinks over dinner. Breakfast was as good as, if not better than any 5 star Hotel around the world.

My stay at Te Puru beach lodge was awesome! Dale and Margret were incredible. I would highly recommend this B&B.

Quiet peaceful location with super friendly hosts and great breakfast

The lodge was lovely, the beds very comfortable and the hosts were very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were very attentive. The view from the bedroom was second to none. Will be back in summer for more than 1 night!

Really relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in the hosts home. The rooms were beautifully made up and nicely decorated with personal touches. We both felt we were made really welcome. Both of our hosts stopped at nothing short of perfection and made every effort to make our stay throughly enjoyable. All the catering provided as excellent and the use of the spa pool was a particular highlight for us. Great spot and genuinely caring hosts. Fab set up!! The addition of the boat will make this a top pick!

We had a highly enjoyable stay at Te Puru with Dale and Margaret. They were great hosts with a wonderful generosity of spirit. The room was thoughtfully and tastefully optioned with high quality fixtures. Breakfast was also a real treat, especially sitting outside and overlooking the Firth of Thames. It is such a peaceful and beautiful spot but Dale and Margaret still managed to elevate the experience through the creation of such an excellent place to stay. I will be highly recommending Te Puru Beach Lodge.

Really nice location, very quiet, superb welcome, very friendly, felt at home immediately. Lovely view of beach and sea. Great breakfast choices.
