Best hotel in our honeymoon! The staff was amazing and as an architect i love the hotel! We will be back for sure! 6 stars experience!

A great place to escape to and enjoy some luxury and relaxation in the mountains. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The Kaiseki dining was outstanding. Definitely a place to return to.

Let me start by saying that the service and staff were impeccable, and the food was traditional and delicious. But the other parts of our stay did not feel luxurious or comfortable. We stayed in a standard Japanese room A with tatami beds. The room had a funky musty odor and overheated at night. We finally had to cool it down by opening the door, but only to hear trains go by. The room had an air purifier in it which should’ve been a signal of the sewage like smell which may have been emanating from the drain pipe outside or the bathroom. Eventually, I used earplugs and sprayed perfume around me to be able to sleep. The pillows are bulky and hard which may be traditional and unfortunately I didn’t think to ask if they had a different type of pillow till late at night. The room does not have much of an outdoor space, and no view of Japanese gardens as I had imagined might be. Other room types may have nicer backyard and outdoor tub, but definitely not this one. In fact, the entire property does not have a garden to walk around or much of an outdoor space to lounge in. Private onsen has to be booked in advance as well as the dated looking swimming pool. Our meals were in banquet hall looking space that also lacked charm (maybe they put us there because we had kids with us). Overall, our stay did not meet expectations at the price point we paid and unfortunately I will not be recommending this stay.

The property is designed with a lot of thought. However the room we stayed was very dated with paint peeling off and damaged furniture. Not sure I would stay here again.

5つ星ホテルでもあり、評価が非常に高かったが、おもてなしや歓迎する雰囲気という点ではスタッフによって濃淡がかなりあると感じた（特に玄関近辺にいるスタッフ）。建物は年期がありいわゆる今風の感じではない。食事も年寄り向けの味付けという感じのため、そこそこよいホテルに泊まったことのある人であれば、正直満足はしないと思う。総合的に考えれば、身内にここに泊まりたいという人がいなければ取り立ててわざわざここである必要は正直ないと思った。

アップグレードもして頂いて、サービスも素晴らしく本当に素晴らしい時間を過ごせました。年に一度ですがまたお伺いしたいです。 ありがとうございました。

Excellent ryokan experience. True taste if Japan

Quiet 、comfortable 、excellent service

スタッフの方々のおもてなしが最高に素晴らしく、建物もお風呂も良かったです。館内も静かで、気持ち良く滞在させて頂きました。 部屋は和室で、部屋食ということもあり、今まては感じたことがなかったのですが、今回は股関節や膝に負担を感じました。ロビーやどこかで椅子に座れたら、脚が楽に過ごせたように思います。残念ながら、チェックイン時もアウト時もロビーのお席は空いていませんでした。 心に残る旅館でした。有難うございました。

What a wonderful treat. We really enjoyed Gora Kadan. The Kaiseki meals and Japanese breakfasts were to die for. A huge thank you to our room attendant, Yuma-san. Very knowledgeable and kind. The onsen are beautiful, but we loved our private onsen in the room the most! I only wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you!

While the hotel was probably beautiful at some point, it is in dire need of updating. It looks like it wasn’t renovated since the 50s. The odor in the room was unbearable, we couldn’t sleep as it was so intense... There were train tracks right next to our room, with A LOT of traffic - which also didn’t help with the sleeping. The communication of the front desk was poor, to say the least. I emailed them 3 times to discuss our late arrival, and therefore that we wouldn’t have dinner there - I never heard back, and they charged me for a dinner I didn’t 2. I also told them that we would be two guests instead of 3, but they claimed that they had to hear from Hotels.com to refund me the difference, which they never did. Bottom line: no good!

Increíble hotel llena de detalles lujosos y con un personal muy atento y amable , aunque en ocasiones la comunicación es algo complicada por el idioma ellos siempre buscan la forma de que estés cómodo. La habitación es lujosa , Cómoda y con una vista increíble, experiencia culinaria de primer nivel , valió la pena para celebrar nuestro primer aniversario . Ampliamente recomendable . Gracias especiales a Keijo por su atencion

是一次感受日本文化很棒的體驗，我是看婦人畫報雜誌介紹找到這家溫泉飯店。日式溫泉、奢華會席料理，精緻器皿的使用讓我很開心，光線透視的日式長廊建築很美，整體服務很棒，司機很親切專業，管家的態度溫暖又專業。這次家庭旅遊選擇一晚入住，二個成年孩子們也開了眼界，都說下次還想再來住！謝謝強羅花壇團隊給我們全家留下旅遊美好的回憶

Gorgeous property, attentive staff and a wonderful experience.

全てにおいて最高のもてなしでした。 ただし、清掃スタッフの教育は必要と感じました。 男子トイレの個室を利用していた際に、複数の女性清掃スタッフが声かけもなく入って来ました。女性といえども気持ちの良いものではありませんし、個室を利用しているにもかかわらず、そのまま作業は続けるし、個室からでてもバツが悪そうにもしていません。 せっかく接客するスタッフの対応が素晴らしいのにとても残念でした。
